I was thinking of buying traffic for one of my sites, I have never done this before and would appreciate some advice. I have some questions about payed traffic that maybe someone can answer...

    1) How do I know exactly where the traffic comes from and if it is targetted to my niche?
    2) What is the best thing to do with the traffic when they arrive?
    3) Is there such a thing as good or bad traffic? How can I know that the traffic provider is giving good or bad traffic.
    4) What is the best or good price to pay for traffic?
    5) Lastly can someone hook me up with a good traffic provider, either here on the forums or a company on the net,

    Cheers for the help.
    Jas.

I wish I could be more helpful but I have only purchased a small amount of traffic (it was cheap) This was for a brand new site and they said it was targeted to my niche I recieved all the hits plus maybe 500 ish. And I got nothing for it. From my stats it said they stayed anywhere from 0-30 seconds.
But on my adbrite it helped, made it look like i had more visitors to my site....
I also bought traffic (banner traffic) for an adult site and it was a package of 20,000 uniques and that turned up better I had 5 sign ups off that (paid for the traffic and then some) But that was when my site was brand new like 3 years ago, i dont know what happened to that guy...
Good Luck tho...I would like to read what other say...

Try adenage or sites like that. Adwords delivers the most but cost the most.

I like to buy add on site for set price not per click if you can find them

Don't buy traffic (unique visitors) , it is untargeted at best... This industry is full of scammers banking on webmaster's desperation to make it big and all you will get are robots visiting your site!

    My advices:

    - build content, original and lots of it!
    - can you create a community? Do it!
    - use viral ads, pics or videos.
    - don't rely on search engines only, do some marketing and partner with websites... If you can buy banner placement in Websites that have more than 500 000 page views a month you will get your website noticed.
    - use email advertising, buy ads in related newsletters... and collect emails yourself from your website!

There is a lot more but that will keep you busy for a while.

    Good luck!

Yes well I tried and I paid 99 $ for 30,000 UV , but nothing happened !! Don't waist your money on a bullshit promises go with the best . Spend more and get more ! Don"t do same mistake I did . It's not about the money 99 $ is not a lot . But the are big fat lairs unless you are not dealing with adwords !
If someone thinks something else let me know I currently hold www.myvideowish.com and I have 500 UV a day 200 direct hits and the rest is from google and etc. but never saw anything coming from my 99$ I paid for traffic !

Thanks guys (Merry Christmas by the way).
Yeah I guess I will not look at buying traffic after hearing these reports.
I didn't know that they could/would send robots, that is very disturbing.
