Donation button at DP! How much will it earn per month?

    I saw there are many blogs with donation button. If there is a donation button at DP, How much will it earn per month (Lots of people are benefiting from DP).

    I think it would be a good idea, that way they have more incentive to keep improving the site and have the actual ability too

    I don't think they need to, they could have done a lot to monetize the forum, put paid sticky etc but they never did.

    I'm sure a donation button would be pretty successful, but with a HUGE community like DP there would be no need there are better ways to monetize the site without taking donations.

    I would have to say somewhere around $1,000 a month. This number may be way off, but its my guess.

    I would say close to zero. Just ask Steve Pavlina of stevepavlina.com. No one ever donates so you have to use Google adwords or similar.

    Personally I think it would go more than $2,000 because many happy members who are doing great transactions might throw something like a thank you for DP

    Onto another idea..

    If DP set up their own transaction system with money and a bank, like Paypal, but just for DP transactions, and take 0.1% of the money, that would make $100,000/Year if $1,000,000 was spent in Transactions.

    $1,000+ a month ... have any of you guys ever tried to get donations out of people?

    Even when supplying a great product for free people are mean!

    DP donations have some value ... read the bottom of the donations page for details...
