Well it seems pretty official, I've looked everywhere (for UK), for PS3 60gig versions and cant find any that are in stock, may you know a site with them? I actualy have my own 60gig cnsole but my friend is wanting to buy it and he says he will get a wii if he dont find one Oh dear a wii lol, not my kind of console.
"Just getting a Wii" is a lot harder than it sounds, at least by me. You can find a PS3 anywhere but Wii's still have people waiting in lines outside of Best Buys to get vouchers; people selling them on Ebay for $500-$600 (normal price comes out to about $300 after tax)... I just picked up a Wii myself; a lot of people have said their PS3 has become just their Blu-ray player (at the time it was more cost-efficient to get a PS3 but now Blu-ray players are coming way down in price) and a very expensive paperweight.

Not sure how people can prefer ps3 games over 360 games.. I mean all top games are mostly Xbox 360 (or for both xbox and ps3) and a couple are wii games. Anyways owning a 360 + Wii = I get any good game that comes out But I shouldn't be telling people what they should get, if your friend wants a ps3, its their choice A few days before christmas isnt the time to look for one though, they would be all sold out.
I see PS3's in the shops all the time up here in Scotland... HMV had a few last time I checked, Zavii had some too, Gamestation and Game also. That might just be the stores near me though. The wii is cool, but there arn't that many great games for it, come to think of it the PS3 doesn't have that many great games for it either. Wii is good for if there are more than one of you, PS3 and 360 are great for one and multi player games.
I waited inline for 24 hrs to get the PS3 last year (to resell on ebay) becuase of all the hype. As it turned out the PS3 flopped and the Wiis sold great. I ended up taking it back to Best Buy becuase it did not sell on ebay after 3 attempts.
You don't need a PS3 anyway! Just upgrade your PC's, it will probably work out the same price to upgrade for a Q6600 and 3gb ram + nvidia 8800. Although tbh, I have that type of set up and i'd still like one :S
I don't get it wht people buy this crap ..... wii or ps ... they are a waste of time and games are waste of time many chances to make peolple loosers ... Laptop internet => work and $$$ so i don't see the point
well I like my pc too, the only thing i hate now is that lots of people cheat, example:codehookcom they already have cod4 hacks :s, but with consoles you dont get that, the wii ooks fun for the official games i.e. mario/donkey kong..., but some of them look like a collection of flash games tht they are selling, but now it seems monster hunter is going to be on wii , true i wanted xbox360 for the halo 123, but it wud seem u can use a mouse/keyboard so online gaming may be uneven some ppl using joystick the ps3 does hve some good games like, motorstorm,resistance,metalgearsolid4 , that new uncharted and most of grand turismos

They've stopped making 60GB PS3's for the UK market since the 40GB came out, I couldn't get myself a60GB either so I had to buy the 40GB version. The only place you may be able to get a 60GB now is Ebay.
