Good thing I never signed up with them. Widgetbucks will only cater to a small percentage of publishers.

There can be only one explanation, the international traffic does not convert as well.

To me, this is a CPA type program. You can't quote CPC/CPM then suddenly say sorry, your traffic does not convert, we'll take back those earnings. I know there are some people doing well with them, and thats great, but its not transparent.

Come on everyone they barely open shop and first checks were barely delivered. To say they suck after what 2 months is ridiculous. Give them at least 6 months to a year before throwing stones.

Wow a lot of negative views!

My personal experience / opinion is they are fantastic for shopping niche sites or sites that do not earn high through adsense

Example 1: proxy site that has been adsense smartpriced - i have added widgetbucks in addition to adsense and my widgetbucks income is now equal to adsense income! result = this site income increased by 80-100%

Example 2: bans site selling computers with 1 widgetbucks ad - computers - this setup beats 1 adsense contextual unit - by a big amount! result = my advertising income increased by 150%

CTR is low but i get 0.50$ - 0.65$ per widgetbucks click this averages out as good as or better than adsense

If you have general or niche sites that do not fit a widgetbucks shopping category - or high paying site with adsense - do not go near them - if you have proxies or shopping niche sites - they are the business - enough said :)

I was about to register on their site to become a publisher but still don't know if it's worthing or not , i read alot of posts here on DP about widgetbucks and members saying that WB sucks :S

ps: erm 1 question on their registration forum there is a field "Payee / Taxable Entity:" erm what i am supposed to write there?is that for USA citizens only or what?

The "payee field" is simply the person that receives the money! put your name in here or your company name, i'm from the UK and just put my name in this field - widgetbucks pay by paypal with no charges to the publisher - so this field is irrelevant as long as your paypal email paypal pay details are correct - merry christmas :)

It sounds like they are making a change to restrict what traffic they pay for, good on them, but to me it looks like sales problem. I am sure they could a little marketing effort and find advertisers willing to reach out to other markets at some kind of rate. Think Coca Cola, Pepsi, McDonalds, KFC, etc.

That's only more confirmation of what most people already know. WB sucks until they prove differently
