I can't see myself joining a forums with 3 categories that are simple general interest. The site also has generic phpbb template. Sorry but I won't join a site like yours.

    Goodluck.

Dude, there are forums out there with billions of posts, I don't think a forum with 3 categories and the default phpBB skins gonna do it.

Trust me, don't go out to be the best, do it by steps, my forum at www.computalk.net started with me aiming for 50 posts, then 100, then 250, then 1000, then 2000, then 2500 and now I am almost at 5000 and have not spent a single dollar (well I have but it was from the advertising profits).

I bet you can't even get like 100 users to your forum.

Because you use free bulletin software.

Because you use free bulletin software's default theme.

And you use default logo default title and default default.

So for now don't wait people to write positive things to your topic mate.

    Luck with you.

I have a suggestion - disable all the spam related signup measures. This will allow spammers to signup and post... give it a good few months and you'll have a really active forum... fully of useless spam.

Whats the point in 'checking it out' but also 'getting some members' if your not sure if the software is even suitable for your needs? Needless to say it sounds like a totally hairbrained/stupid idea to me...
