Today I found out that google has banned a recently submitted blog post by me, that was ranking no.1 for its major topic keyword!

Why did that happen??? What do google take into consideration for banning blog posts?

I just noticed one of my sites got bumped down today in the index and is on/off results page. Like always, I just wait it out and carry on with my day.

    The page is deindexed.
Google doesn't index 100% of all pages and you just can't do anything here.

Are you referring to the article about turbo boosting your blog's visitors?

I'm in no way saying that this is the reason it was temporarily deindexed, but I'd like to know if this is possible:

Ok, you have a post located at yourdomain.com/this-is-my-post/ and you also have a category page at yourdomain.com/category/ and you have an archive page at yourdomain.com/december/. Now, your post's first paragraph or so will be placed on the category page as well as your archive page. Does Google view this as duplicate content coming from the same ip or domain?

Google does not ban certain pages in a website !

It might place certain pages/section into sandbox, so some pages might rank for its keywords, but other pages targeting other keywords, might be no where to find in google.

Now your case is a very normal case, your post is still new and google is still not sure if its worth the top rank or not. Give it sometime as many members have already said, and it will be back for sure !

**** them if what you are referring to is considered duplicate content! Duplicate content sometimes can't be avoided... there are so many cases.... why would google let some duplicates stay, and remove others?

Anyway, I kindda noticed that they recently pay less attention to it.

No, it is not the post about turbo boosting your blog's visitors ;)

I think you guys are right... I'll give it some more time.... too bad though if it loses its position when it comes back... yesterday it brought me some good targeting search engine traffic.

They could just be updating their search engine and the results will be different, it happens a lot.
