I don't think China is interested in taking over countries, she's just interested in making money for now. But I wouldn't provoke them is I was a president of a small republic. It's like an ant challenging an elephant to a fight.
China is not so much a military threat, though they are formatable. They can hurts us financially. But it would not be in their best interest.
well, you don`t really know what they`re upto ! i mean everything they do is heavly shrouded in secrecy. moreover, looking back in their history doesn`t infuse much confidence either. Russia & India used to be its allies but it has had strained relations with both.... now if China has such relations with its allies then, you could imagine the kind of trust it is able to generate, with the the diplomatic circles of the U.S & the U.K., & other west European countries !!
At the moment, China is interested in improving its industry, infrastructure and per capita income. Of course, it has done some incursion into India in the North East and still the problem remains unresolved. But she thinks the time is not ripe to militarily advance into any neighbor, otherwise it will be considered as a political folly
I don't think that China is interested in war with anyone.. but they are still very dangerous think about it there are like, billion and a half of them if someone will arrange them all, and convince them to jump up and down together, in a coordinated rhythm they could kick the earth out of it's course and then we might hit Jupiter or something scary stuff..
