Actually, I tried speaking French in France... It was worse.. Anyway, one of my largest customers is French.. They speak English better than I do..
You have to speak English with a French accent so they understand. I learned that trick when I was trying to buy a train ticket from a travel acgency in Epernay, the Captital of Champagne. They didn't understand a word I was saying. Finally in fustration I started speaking English with a French accent and they understood everything.
