    Custom rig I built years ago:

    Athlon64 3500+ 2.2Ghz
    Asus A8N-VM CSM with onboard Geforce 6150
    1 Gig of Ram
    750 gigs total hard drive space between 2 SATA drives
    Skystar2 DVB-S tuner card
    FusionHDTV ATSC tuner card
    16x Plextor DVD Writer (black and slot-loading)
    Windows Media Center 2005 (WinXP Pro) and sometimes Sabayon Linux
    Samsung 19" CRT (has lasted many years) 1280x960

    Some of you guys posted some killer systems. When Core2Duo and Athlon64 X2 were first coming out I thought about getting a multicore rig, but I'm able to encode video, watch/record live TV(muted), browse the web, and listen to music all at the same time as it is. Maybe next Christmas perhaps :D
