The point was to pay very little, and possibly help someone that desperately needs it :)

What do you expect the error rate to be? Especially if they are drunk. :D

That'd be cool if I had the free time to do this:
Have a few homeless guys type a decent size blog everyday (about being homeless) in exchange for some spaghetti and a night in the detached building in the back... And, find a couple other webmasters to do the same thing in other cities... Could be an interesting idea...

It's cheaper to just give them a sandwich when you consider the training time.

here in los angeles, ca, there are more than enough homeless shelters and plenty of free food on skid row to actually make homeless people gain weight. from my personal experience in dealing with homeless individuals, most of the people you see on the street who are holding up signs and panhandling actually choose to be homeless. fortunately, the number of homeless individuals that want to work for MONEY and rejoin normal society far outnumber the chronically homeless. those who believe that homeless people have no skills, and that it would take too long to train them to use a computer would be surprised to see how many homeless people are in libraries and worksource centers everyday using computers as efficiently as the typical office worker. i dare all the non-believers to come to LA to see for yourselves. ;)
anyone on this site that wants to hire homeless people to perform data entry, and pay them actual wages, i can assure you all you'd receive positive responses and you'd see premium work done for you. just keep posting in your usual manner.

This reminds me of this pic I saw on a site once where it had a guy holding a sign saying "will code <html> for food"
