Review my blog please

Hello. I write this post with the hope of receiving some suggestions about my first site that I've ever made. It's a Photoshop Blog with some Tutorials. It dose not even have a .com domain or anything.

I'd like to know your opinion about some aspects:

1) The sites layout. Color theme, how dose it look, is it eye caching or not? What do you like/dislike at it?

2) The adds placement. I admit I am a newbie at this. I would really apreciate some comments on it.

3) Sidebars. What isn't appropriate for my sidebars, what is, what should I add there?

4) Any suggestion about cool stuff that I could add/ bad stuff that I must remove from my site.

The green logo is very eye catching, I simply love that. It looks great and you have made the ads match the theme, but the one in the middle top is a bit huge in my opinion. No big deal, but might consider decreasing the height and increase the width maybe. I don't have much to say since I really like the color theme you have chosen and the overall setup. Good job

Design is great. Try to delete the adsense board, it lowers your ctr

 

I'm not sure what you mean by that, but I changed the ads size.

Not size, just change color of board in the manage ads setup

 

What colors do you suggest ?

 

It looks good, but I do not like the double ad right at the center of the page. On my small screen (which I always preview my designs on, since a lot of viewers still have small screens ) - I almost have to scroll down to see the contents, which is a big turn off. I'd experiment more with the single line adsense in the center or under the header, and a skyscraper on the sidebars. Ahh, and talk about sidebars - how about trying a different color of the background to let the site breathe a bit and at the same time accentuate the center.
It is a good start and with a few tweaks you'll have a very nice site - good luck!

 

Ok, so those ads in the center are the big turn off. I will try to make the center area more bright. I'll take a look at some templates and get some inspiration.

The look is eye-catching for sure. I'm a big fan of black backgrounds.

How do you plan on attracting new and regular vistors to your site?

 

I submit tutorials to the big tutorial indexing sites. They link to me and that's the way I get traffic.
