yes, I believe this is correct, but pagerank has to do with traffic and backlinks.

    simply the more the better

a simple step by step guide:

    1) get a website
    2) make sure that all of its code is 100% correct, no dead links, no syntax errors etc.
    3) get as many links to your website with anchor text relevant to your website as possible
    4) wait for the links to age, and your PR will start lifting.

by the way, to do this organically to get a GOOD pr, of say 6/10 youd be looking at investing hundreds if not thousands of hours, over a 6 month to 18 month period.

unless you want to blackhat your way by buying loads of links. then you can do it in 2 google updates.

    good luck

Im not sure I get what difference you mean, as far as a search engine is concerned a link is a link. the anchor text is important, ie. dont use "click here", use "descriptive site text" instead.

Yes. You must use the anchor text you are wanting to rank in the search engines for.

For example if the site/or page you want to rank well for is selling red widgets, your anchor text for the link would be

    'red widgets'
