I was just checking my unused and expired domains and i realized the domain i bought for mobile ringtone site. The domain contains word mp3 so i decided to make the site about mp3 But unfortunately i don't have any project about the domain. So i am asking if anyone want to give me an idea or project. I am not sure if i use the site for mobile ringtones, i don't think mobile ringtone sites convert at all these days ^.^ Parking the domain not make me earn something so it's not a good idea, plus i am not planning to sell it.
BTW, why do we see so many ringtone ads everywhere? I don't have a cell phone so I don't use ringtones. How do these guys make money?
so is it still good idea to open a ringtone site? And, maybe i should start to look for ringtone sponsors. All sponsor recommends welcomed !
It really is unbelievable what kids spend money on these days. As far as a mobile ringtone site, I know people that still make money with ringtone offers, so it's possible. The market is just competitive because the offers pay well ($8-14.)
Not to discourage you from your plan, but have you thought of the technical aspects of downloadable ringtones and how you will actually implement it? Maybe there are some templates available to work from, but this business model is probably not that common.
