Thanks for all your valuable feedback, If you think of anything else later please let me know. I wish you & your business the best if success!
No problem, I didn't mean to imply that you were insinuating that I ripped it off somewhere. I didn't get that from your feedback, just wanted to show the source image. However, I kinda thought that that guy was supposed to be portraying Paul Revere's ride... I'll have to look around some more, and think about a new concept. Thanks again for the feedback.
Thank you for all the feedback you have provided to us. Here is another attempt. Please note: the minuteman is from a font (I am not an illustrator )
Here is my Entry it took alot of time as i made all the graphics by my seld ..every single line i hope you will like it
Thanks scorpionagency. I certainly can use the well wishes for my business as the mortgage and real estate industries are a mess right now! In any event, thank you for all of your hard work and I may post some final suggestions as we are getting closer to the end of the contest. Best wishes!
No worries, mac_crazy. I thought your source image was great, but I'd say it's a stretch that he was portraying Paul Revere's ride while on a bicycle! As you can tell from my previous post, I mistook this design as a town crier and not Paul Revere. While Massachusetts did have town criers, they were not exclusive to our state (or country for that matter) and therefore would not be readily identified as a symbol of Massachusetts. Nonetheless, great effort and creativity!
Very nice, xpressions. Great job! My only comment would be that the American flag in the background is starting to make the design appear more as a Patriotic logo rather than one that would be identified with Massachusetts. Also, while a minor matter, the URL is still incorrect. It should be mamortgagebroker.com, not mamortgage.com. Overall though, it's a cool design!
Xpressions, maybe try instead of the american flag, something with the blue and gold colors of massachusetts?
hmmm were have i seen that hand and house??? http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=609830 you or someone else used it on this not to long ago lol.
It's his own drawing, look at the username's for both posts, same person. He even made a note of it on the other post: So i dont know what you're trying to prove by posting this.
Thanks Tmash, I was just getting ready to post the same thing Logoesdotbiz - In addition, on the finer points of detail, if one was to look at the post dates they would see that the revision of my work was submitted to the other contest AFTER being declined here first & divulged as Unfitting. My design (From scratch), My copyrights, I'll use it the way I want (Until Sold)... I was also nice enough to explain to the new contest holder that I originally designed it for someone else, Not everyone provides that courtesy. I can see know how important it is to do so, just in case a post such as yours pops up. I think that says it all, I wish you the best. P.S. if it makes you feel any better, they didn't like it either & rejected it to...
GFMIII, I might have time to get in one more design before the deadline, are there any improvements/suggestions you'd like to see before I get started? Thanks
Thank you for your entry, lordadel. I appreciate your effort, but the design is too generic for my purposes since it is not readily identifiable as a Massachusetts image. If you are so inclined and would like to submit another entry, take a look at some of the other designs submitted and take note of how they have evolved into that which is closer and closer to that which I am looking. Thank you again for your entry.
Thank you for your latest entry, mac_crazy. I like it, but my concern is that it may be becoming too busy and the image of the minuteman statue may not reproduce well for printed materials. Also, believe it or not, I don't think a lot of people from Massachusetts are really that familiar with our state flag whereas an outline of our state is unmistakeable. I do like however tmash's idea of incorporating the colors of the state flag, gold and blue, in the design even though the reason behind it probably would go over the heads of most people looking at it. If you're up to it, perhaps you could incorporate these ideas in a redesign. In any event, thank you again for another nice design.
Hi again, scorpionagency. If you have the time, I would love to see slight modifications to your latest designs (both Paul Revere and the minuteman - see the thumbnail of these previous designs at the bottom of this post) incorporating the blue and gold colors of the Massachusetts coat of arms (see image below). Also, it would be great to see how you might be able to incorporate the url MAMortgageBroker.com into your design with a big enough font size to be easily readable while not distracting from the design. Finally, if you want to add even more detail to your design, I like the two-tone effect you incorporate in the background. It would be interesting to see if you could incorporate the shape of the Blue Hills (see image below) into this two tone effect as the blue in the Massachusetts coat of arms is meant to represent the Blue Hills of Canton and Massachusetts. Thanks again for all your hard work.
Hi again expressions. It would be great to see if you could incorporate the following suggestions into your design above before the contest wraps up : - change font colors to blue and gold of Massachusetts coat of arms - change the background behind the Minuteman from the stars and stripes design to either an outline of Massachusetts or perhaps a stylized version of Massachusetts coat of arms as you did with the American glad - change the url to MAMortgageBroker.com Thanks.
Hi again, tmash. Your logo below is the one that I like the most of your designs. I was wondering if you might have the time to make the following suggested revisions : - change the font to one more in the style of ImperatorSmallCaps as used by scorpionagency - make the URL more prominent (bigger font size) while maintaining integrity of design (i know, I know, this may be difficult but take a shot at it) - make the star larger and perhaps stylize "The" differently to give it more emphasis - change color of blue used in design to that of the Massachusetts coat of arms (see image below) although perhaps not for the font as it may be too hard to read Thanks again for all of your proposals and the work you have done!
