Check this out guys: anonymous proxy list - $10 minimum bid Who would pay that much per click for this term?
That is the maximum bid for any keyword, that happens when your ads, keywords and landing pages are not connected. Try to review your campaign. There are expensive keywords, even if your campaign is optimized, but not $10 per keyword
It's your quality score. I'm amazed how many people spend the time to create a new thread rather than search for the THOUSAND others on the same subject. There is a sticky post in this forum too with the FAQ: Q: I have to bid $5 or $10 just to activate a keyword. Why? A: You need to improve your keyword's quality score. Here, I'll find it for you: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=200367
yes i have a bunch of ridiculos bids in my opinion: weight tips 5$ weight loss tips 5$ water weight 5$ fat 5$
I didn't do a search because I wasn't asking a question, I just thought the minimum bids were ridiculous.
They were designed to be ridicolous so you would do whats logical and fix your quality score and not bid at such a price.
You can get away with high minimum bid, just by creating new adgroups and including tightly themed keywords..and high targeted Ad... Also for some keywords if they are not searched on Google i.e if there are no impressions then it results in high bid,
Google doesn't expect anyone to pay $10 - it's just their polite way of saying they won't run that ad, pointing at that destination, the way things are. This way it saves them replying to thousands of people asking "why won't you run my ad!"
It doesn't make sense though, the keyword that I am targeting is the theme of the site and it's mentioned a couple of times on my page.. yet it still says it's poor quality, I don't know what to do.
Not sure where you heard that, but the number of people searching for a term has no bearing on the Quality Score (and hence minimum bid). And nor does the number of people advertising on a term. Making the keyword relevant to the site is important, but there are many ways to get a Poor Quality Score from your website...
