I'm going to say PHP because it can expand to programming, then CSS then HTML :p which is the easiest.

    What he said.

HTML and CSS are not programming and are easy to learn, CSS is more difficult than HTML just for the sake of having to learn all the diffrent hacks and ways of doing things due to browsers reading it diffrently but is stil very easy compared to any real programming language (PHP,ASP,Java, Javascript, C+,ect, ect).

    No question; it's PHP.

HTML and CSS aren't really programming languages, whereas PHP is.

This is obvious. HTML is a markup language. CSS is a style definition for the markup language. PHP is a PROGRAMING language. "...(...){...;}" are harder than "</>" or "#..{..;}". Programing requires algorithms and complex logic, while arranging text and graphics in a webpage requires a good eye.

I didn't read all of the posts, but php definitely is. CSS and HTML combined are probably less than 1/1000 the size of php. Also, php is the only "programming" language out of those.

CSS and HTML . Here is why:

PHP almost always renders the same across any browser since it's server side. HTML + CSS can render vastly different from browser to browser making them harder to deal with. I'll take a php problem any day over a html/css issue.

I don't understand what you mean? Of course PHP will "behave" the same in any browser since it's server side.. right? But all the PHP "output" is just plain html.

(Having trouble with my english tonight.. can't find the right words lol)

I have been learning PHP lately and it seems pretty straight forward but much more to learn that HTML and CSS. I agree its by far hardest.

Wow, I said CSS, because I know PHP and HTML but can't seem to learn CSS.

Maybe I'll try again though, cause if I can do PHP then I can probably do CSS.

I think many people have different opinions but so far it is between PHP and CSS with posts and PHP with votes.
