Britney Spears' sister is pregnant at 16

Ya, she is too young. How she will handle this responsibility ?

Pregnant at just 16 years of age is too young yes but britney could have set a better example to her younger sister in recent times.

 

In my opinion I will considered this a crime because the girl is minor.

 

Yes, I also think illegal to do sex with girl under 18 in USA

 

I blame the mom, 16 is just too young.

I dont think its illegal, unless if its not wanted, the girl/guy reports it. Unless its a different law there.

 

It depends on which state it happened in, as it would be legal in his home state but illegal in her's. Most states have an age differential clause in the statuatory law, so it's only illegal if one partner is under 18 and there is an age differential of 2 years (or 3 years in some states). District attorneys will selectively prosecute these cases, which causes problems in some areas (particularly the south), where the male's race seems to often play a factor in whether or not he is charged. One recent case in Georgia involved a 17-year-old black male who was sentenced to 10 years for statuatory rape after having sexual contact with a 15 year white female (she did give consent).

16/17 is too young to be responsible for another life, imho...

 

I feel sad for the entire family. They are all so screwed up.

 

Well at least she has better sense to raise her child back home in Louisiana and out of the public eye of Hollywood. Her sister seems to love the attention she's been getting on a daily basis, even though the attention is "bad" attention. It wouldn't take anything for her to pack up and move anywhere else in the world so that she won't be constantly followed to get the next stupid thing she does on camera!!

Well it's not for us to worry about. It's Jamie and her family's responsibility to take care of what's going on in their lives right now. They could care less what we thought about their life's decisions. Who even knows anything about Jamie Lynn?? She's just Britney Spears's little sister, that's it!

 

Britney wasn't "16" when she first got pregnant with her first son. Also, she did get married first. Not that I'm totally sticking up for Britney but she was very grown and married before she had kids so this is another situation with her little sister. Her sister is a teenager, well under 18. She's not following in Britney's footsteps, she's following her own.
