    Hi there,

This is probably a no because I cant seem to find any way, just thought I would ask someone who might know where to point me in the right direction.

I need to find a username with this email in this forum:

They have scammed me out of $300.00 on a script sale and are refusing to return any emails, etc. They are also in violation of copyright to my script.

I know they are a member here because they came from this forum and purchased it on my webpage. Plus this is the only place I advertised it.

So if anyone could help me out here that would be great, because I am sooo sick of friggin scammers..........

    Thanks guys!

Deal with them only on DP! Don't use email, IM, phone etc.
If they have a good history here on DP those are your better chances. No you can't search email address

Well, you could search if you were an admin of the board, as VB does have that feature.

    Two problems though

    1) Mods and Admins don't get involved in sales

    2) The transaction never even happened on dp, it was through your site.

Sorry to hear you got burned, But I doubt there is anything dp can do.....

    Oh Angela ,

For the future, Have a coder implement an "update" mod to your scripts so "new update available" and after they get the new update , it will run a license check, and BAM, when they are non licensed , they get shut down...

Its not to big of a job to code that kind of thing either....and then protect it in zend....

    Thanks Sundaybrew. :)

Google is an absolute asset for tracking scammers, been scammed a couple of times myself and it's not nice.

So we know his email, we know he's called Marcel, we know his D.O.B, we have 2 more forums that he's a member at and we have his picture. [IMG]

All within 2 minutes of searching. ;)

If the prick scammed me he better be calling his mom to lend him some money. With a little bit of IP help from the Mods he would be very easy to track down.

Good luck with it. Make sure you join them forums and see what you can do, send him a PM and try and get more info out of him.

It's a long shot but is well worth a try.

You already know what he is searching for so here is your opening. ;)

Tell him you have it (whatever te hell "virtual animal cemetry" is) and you will mail it to him and need his name and address.

Worth a try. If I got scammed 300 bucks I would give it a try.

hahahah, no problem. Good luck with your new website! I'll keep on this loser and see what happens. I'll let you all know what comes of it. I found his website where he is using my script (from the callbacks in my script)

    http://baby-kinderwunsch.com/tickers2

I think I'll pay their forum a little visit :)

Why not email his host and say he is using an unlicensed script?

    No problems. :)
Good luck with your quest. Personally I would call them, in Germany and explain what he has done.

Yeah a company tried to scam me and my buddy (DP member bonzer) out of $2000 in the middle of 2006.

It was a long hard battle but we got a complete refund in the end.

If you have some time you can read the whole epic adventure here:
