This means that this proxy website is FULLY compatible with major teen-visited websites like MySpace, YouTube, Orkut, Facebook, Bebo and others too.

You will not find all of the above features in ANY single script except for the ones for which you have to PAY for. Right. So after illegally stealing a script and trying to sell it failed, you're trying it again by setting it up on lots of domains and selling them off as different "sites"? It hasn't even been 24 hours since you last sold this exact same "site"...

By the way, it nowhere states in "your" script's license text that you can't "sell" a site using Glype.

I believe your script is one which is free and open-source, so why are you behaving as if I have actually "nullified" your script OR I am using it for something illegal? I really fail to understand the same. Open-source scripts can be modified, reproduced by ANYBODY whatsoever be the purpose, if you're not aware of that.

And what exactly is bothering YOU if I am selling 2 sites in 24 hours? This is none of your concern so I think it would be unethical for you to post things like this, wouldn't it?

I have even placed the "Powered by glype" text on all of my websites using YOUR script, so what exactly is something "illegal" here?

I'd like you to kindly take some time to tell me as to what crime I am committing here.

No it doesn't and I know you think you've been very clever and found a loophole but the license does explicitly forbid redistribution of the script. The winner of this auction will acquire a copy of the script without having downloaded it from the official site. How is that in any way not considered "redistribution"?

The script is not open source. The fact that the script is unencoded does not make it open source. The script is copyrighted. Permission to use the script is given under the conditions of the license. You have broken the terms of the license by first attempting to sell the script on by itself and are continuing to do so now by selling the exact same thing just packaged with a domain and called a "site".

Alright, I agree with you.

But what do you have to say about ALL the proxy sites which use Glype that are being sold here on DP and other similar forums? You can't just go and stop all of them, including myself, can you?

If the script is NOT open-source, Why are you distributing it for free? You can be making a fortune by selling this great script for some cash. This is none of my concern anyway, but still I do have a right to express myself.

I have no problem in MAKING the BUYER of this website actually "DOWNLOAD" the Glype proxy script from your website, now THAT won't be anything illegal or would it?

Rodney, I really think you should consider liberating your script a bit. Just a suggestion!

Also, if you had problems with me selling your script in the form of a website, why did you NOT make any comment on my previous proxy website site, I did see you visit the thread though, but you did not make a comment!

This DOES signify that you have a personal problem/grudge with me and NOT with the re-distribution of your proxy script (because I haven't seen you stop others who are selling your script in the form of websites AT ALL)!

And now, you are here trying to interfere in my sales which I feel is totally unethical on your part.

 

To all potential buyers, I haven't done anything illegal or unethical according to me and my script is actually legit.

The only thing you will have to do is take is the extra pain of downloading around 100KB worth of rodney88's script called Glype from his website.

I hope that won't be a problem for most of you! and you as well, Rodney.

No, while most sales may technically violate the terms of the license, the sales are not specifically designed to find a supposed loophole (which for the record does not exist) in my terms, unlike yours.

No, not at all. The fact that I don't charge for my script doesn't mean you can make a profit by exploiting it. Your logic is seriously flawed...
