Adsense Google Search Box?

I'm trying to switch T35 Free Hosting from pop-ups to other types of ads. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with the google search box? Like if I place the search box on member pages (in a footer)? From what I understand, you make money from people who search and click the ads? Does anyone have any experience with that? Would they let me put that on member pages (they were hesitant with letting me put the google ads themselves on member pages).

I have experience with the google search box, but I didn't make much from it.
The google coop is better for search.

With google Co-Op, you can basically list which sites you want to search within, while the standard google search will search all sites in the main index.

There is a limit of 5000 sites that can be listed in Co-Op - I think it is 5000 if I remember correctly.

What would be the advantage? I would just make money from them clicking on ads in the search, right? Why would I want to limit what they can search? Too bad they don't pay per search lol

Assume that you have a bunch of sites with lots of content and you would want the search box to list the results found on YOUR sites and not on any other sites. This way you do not lose your visitors when they search for info.
