We have decided to sell our clients to Iwhic.com today as I myself would rather see the clients with a host that can take care of them because i am going through a major relocation. i am moving half way across the usa in 2 days and will not have the time to put forth to make our clients happy as i used to. to all clients your prices and plans will remain the same as iwhic.com has promised. At this time we will put hostparlor.com up for sale and a couple other things. If someone is interested in purchasing the domain hostparlor.com .net .org .info please send me a message with your offer.

    4 Sale

10 Months Live Support Suite (Send Pm)

Everything is fine and we are handling all account transfers and taken care of the support. I do want to say this is sudden and alot of clients are new to HostParlor and feel a bit worried. I want to assure everyone your account will be in good hands. It will take a few days to get everyone comfortable and relaxed. But change is good and we will do our best to make this as easy on everyone as possible.
We still have plenty of sales going on and will not stop selling hosting or providing quality support.
    Eddie have a safe trip.
    Thank you
    Jason

I'm wondering now why wasn't the entire entity purchased? Why just the clients. It seems silly to be migration people to other servers

Apparently hostparlor wants 700+ for the domains (honestly not going to get that). So why wasn't that included in the sale? You purchase clients you may as well take the domains if they're selling that as well so you gain the reputation of that host. Unless of course the clients weren't sold for very much and for whatever reason the belief is the domain is worth more?

Jason did not want to take on another name, I think he just wanted to my migrate everything with regard to a long term investment.

At this point in his business, I don't think he has the man-power or capital to own a whole other hosting company - so a client buy-out seemed the right move for him. Eddie obviously sold the client-base over for pennies on the dollar :).

I could be wrong, but I think that was Jason's thought process.

Yeah, I was wondering why you are moving them off the servers... It's really pointless, Don't you think?

You don't need to take a name at all. You can have the traffic forward to you without any real changes. So if hostparlor has 20 backlinks and receives 200 visitors a day this now traffic to iwhic.

But yeah I imagine these accounts were sold for pennies. Because most hosting operations sell for 8 months revenue. This is assuming there is proof the customers will stay around and things of that nature. To me this seems like some sort of informal sale and no contracts or anything done at all.

Well it could be mismanagement that is usually why you see a lot of hosting companies sell. Not properly managing servers so expanding to way too many servers for the # of clients there is. So you take on the entity and simply strip down everything and get down to less machines. It's been done time and time again.

Also could be the fact that the infrastructure is not great and one host uses a specific provider.

If I was to purchase an entity on digital point within a few months all the machines that host had would be gone that is for sure. I highly doubt the machine specifications and prices could come near what I pay for my machines and how powerful they are. On top of the fact we route IP's to a VLAN and our bandwidth is not billed by machine either. So we'd be hurting if we took on some guy with a few machines with no vlan routed ip's and bandwidth billed by the machine.

I m just thinking about the clients who has paid for yearly basis (Most of the hostparlor offers were yearly). Now will they get the same performance from the new owner as the new owner hasn't made any profit yet from them? Although, whats the current BID for hostparlor.com ? :)

This is a done deal. We will have all clients moved to our network. We host our servers at caro.net and love every bit about it,, to me I WOULD rather expand my network with caro then to host a server at a data center I know nothing about. Being that this January will be the close to a great first year in business, we have made changes for our upcoming year and look forward to getting bigger as the 3rd year comes.
Thank you all for you support as we move your accounts. And as always contact us anytime. Thank you
    Jason

    Hey,

iWhic was not only a good friend of Hostparlor, but he also worked as staff for Hostparlor! So yes, this is more like hey friend take my clients.. I can't handle them anymore..

How iWhic plan to make a long time investment out of this i have no clue on, seriosly! All clients pay 40$ for 2 years for unlimited hosting and bandwidth! There is no income on in that,

    40 x 200 clients = $8000 Dollars

8000 dollars is not really enough to cover for 2 high quality end servers for 2 years now is it? And you you might have to look for a 3 server for the same amount because you have offered Unlimited resources!

For me it looks like eddie has done alot of advertising! Got alot of one time payers and got a huge amount of money right before christmas, then he sells all the clients or me personal opinion, he gives them away for free because he cannot handle them..

So, 8000$ + earned and all responsability lost ;) Great tactic eh?
