$150 Graphic Design Contest - police harassment

I need a graphic design for my new website. Police Harassment

Following are the only requirements. The rest is up to your creativity.

- 100% width
- Left Menu

Of course I need the design to be about police harassment.

I don't have a color in mind.

Make it as professional as possible and I'm willing to pay more than the $150 advertised.

Please ask any questions you might have.

when you say "100% width", what exactly do you mean? What are the pixel dimensions? Thx.

 

well, some designers design the header (mainly) to be a certain width and the graphic is such that can not be turned into a 100% width website.

The site will be generally on police abusing their power and harassing citizens - ex. the latest news on the subject and so forth

There will also be a forum where people can discuss their encounters with police.

the photo header kinda ruins it for a fluid site, but i like it.

this is a rough start. probably 40% done. few notes on what i'm working on:

i'm going to make the content area heavy in light colors, to balance it out a bit. it feels a bit heavy and dark now. the header needs a lot of work, that was just a mockup. I'm going to have a lot more color: (red and blue) in the final version. also, it may not look like it but the gradients will all be set up for coding so that you can use either 100% or a closed width. should be done in the next day or two if i don't have too much going on.

 

I must have misunderstood, I thought all he wanted was a header, everyone here seems to be designing full page templates except me.... I'll put one together & submit in a day or 2.
