Bombing Iran: Potential death of hundreds of thousands of Americans?

I can't imagine why Russia and China would join a federation of middle eastern countries in a confrontation against the US and western europe, and I can't see them sitting around watching either with all that juicy oil rich land to grab hold of.
Japan will not enter a war. India has a large muslim community but I think they would stay out of it since they have their own problems with many of the countries on both sides of this hypothetical war. If I am wrong please tell me why. Back up your opinion with something.
Oh and my dad can beat up your dad.

I agree, all my opinions have been based on a hypothetical that I do not see happening. I can't imagine anyone still has a hunger for war in my country except perhaps those who have profited by it.

 

I laugh every time I hear this. I'm one of the most vocal people here about not interfering militarily with Iran, but the bottom line is that it would be no contest. The Iranian army would fall quickly. The Iraqi army, if you'll recall, fell in days. We aren't there fighting a war anymore as much as an insurgency; we are essentially a police force. We aren't suited to be a police force, and it has cost the lives of a few thousand soldiers. But when it's an actual war, the other side can't put up much of a fight, and that's a fact. That's what happens when military spending is at levels equal with other countries combined

 

I haven't checked out his stock portfolio lately but I wouldn't be surprised if his checks are written in blood. There is a long list of corporations that have profited off of the War (Iraq or Terror whatever you prefer).

Iran does NOT stand a chance against the US in a war. If you believe differently I bet you also believe in fairies and dragons.

 

Sigh, the USA could use Iraq/Kuwait/etc as localized air bases, plus all their carriers and other ships out at sea. They will have Iran's infrastructure crippled before a soldier ever steps foot into Iranian land. The amount of military might the USA has is ridiculous, and Iran, despite being stronger than Iraq, would not stand a chance.

Grim, Im not sure what are arguing for, hes not saying that Iran will win, he says it will be more difficult than Iraq x5, x10 times. If I got it right.

No one answered me, is this plan to attack Iran is still in place?

P.S: someone said that hes gonna go to army if ww3 starts Well, that is how it is in every country. In ww2 time even women were on military factories 24/7 helping.

I'm a little confused. That article you listed has source, where I found this article: Iran ready to defend itself from possible US attack
This article looks like it was published on 04-5-2007...It states there is intelligence that US will attack Iran on 04-06-2007. Am I reading the dates wrong or do the russians just suggest we are going to bomb Iran every april?

Iran would probally lose more in terms of money and buildings, but in the long run the USA will lose, also a couple of hundred of thousand of troops along with it. What makes you think they wont destroy every USA base in the middle east?
