1) Am quite new to link building so wanted more info... Is it safe to put Text Links of TNX.net or Text-Link-ads in your domain ? Wont it effect anything with Google ?? 2) Any idea if there are Text Link sellers who will send payment via Money-Bookers ?
First of all, it is a unlikely that you will get anyone to purchase textlinks on a new site without a PR. Second as long as you are not using the JavaScript enabled text links, you should be okay. I have read some stories in the news about Google being able to find them easily and they will instanly cut their PageRank.
I don't know about TLA, but the TNX ads look just like a standard text link that you would normally have on your site. I checked the page source of several pages with these ads and the links are simple html links so I don't think it should be a problem.
personally I would stay away from tnx if you haven't notice there own site is penalized and don't even show up in the serps its a huge link network.
If TNX.net was good, then why is it a PR 0? Doesn't this also mean that all those links are also a PR 0? Humm... What's wrong with this?
TNX has PR0 because Matt Cutts has manually zeroed it + removed this powerful network from all top positions in Google results which doesn't mean that websites on the network have zero PR catanich, why would you post something negative about the service you have never tried yourself? You sound like one of those guys who go to the restaurant, have a great meal and drop some hair in the plate right before they get a check
Then you should also stay away from everything that works well because whatever works well its got competitors that don't want it to work well.
I have mix feeling with TLA actually. I'm using it for several sites :- - on 3 PR4 blog, I have been running it for months without issue. PR value stays consistent. Internal page/cat also have PR value. - on 2 other PR3 blog, the PR dip to totally 0 after I put the TLA WP plugin. I am still very puzzled why they suddenly drop to PR0. Been staying at PR3 for almost >6months. It drops within 1week after I activated the TLA plugin. I don't have explanation for it. Been building backlinks for them...but suddenly drip to 0 doesn't feel nice at all...
Explanation: When both advertisers and webmasters make money bypassing Google, Matt has to figure something out, it is his routine Google has also banned keywords "sell links", "text link ads" etc. from its AdWords system so companies like TNX can't advertise. Well, such companies don't need visitors from Google, because those are just visitors. Real webmasters and advertisers come from blogs and by suggestions received from their co-workers and friends that had a great experience. By "Real webmasters" I mean those who really add their websites into the system/. By "Real advertisers" I meant those who spend money. =================== By the way, U.S. people aro so scared of Google, that only 5% of all English speaking users at TNX are from the U.S. Our major profits come from overseas and it is increasing very fast because advertisers see great results and suggest TNX to their friends. Webmasters also see that now they can sell links on each page instead of just 1-10 site wide links. ============
It dropped because Google finally updated the PR thing a week later. Google PR is screwed with its PR update. Since it is not done on a daily basis, you never know if your real PR is 4 or 0 .... We are currently working on a tool, that will make Google shares at leas another $50 cheaper .... you'll see, there will be no more PR update because Google will get rid of it very soon
One my site dropped from PR4 to PR0, I have TLA on that site. And I am sure, that was the reason, because incoming links are still the same, and growing. So...
Simple, yet so true. This is just how business works - it is cutthroat. And Google knows they have us by the balls.
Not exactly... If Google angers enough webmasters we could sue them for copyright infringement for caching all of our websites . I don't know about you, but I didn't give them permission to host my content on their servers. If Napster can be broght down by the copyright law, why not Google?
I had TLA accept a PR0 blog when they would not accept two PR3 sites. One of the sites being the one the blog was at (as in, mysite.com/blog/ = YES but mysite.com/ = NO). Of course I didn't get any buyers until I hit PR1 *shrug* So long as those text links are not passing PR, then you should be OK... regardless of how they are published. Because unlike Napster, google follows robot.txt. Had napster followed a 'do not use' type of system that was attached to the music, then they would likely still be around today, as it would have allowed record labels to 'opt out' their music. So like webwork said, two completely different situations...
i lost my serps on one of my sites when i added tnx. i was ranking #1 for many terms. TNX was added and i was then ranking like 200 for those terms. I removed TNx and I am back to number 1 again
