In your opinion, what do you feel is the best niche for adsense?

If you are using that niche, and don't mind saying, around how much do you make /month and what kind of traffic do you have?

Also, is "Cellular Phones" a good niche?

My thoughts exactly. The niche you care about and can maintain as a website is the best niche you should go for.

    That's right... as said above

but i think you should try "Money Making Online" method if you are looking at bulk of your income from adsense... and a good placement of code will give you what you asked for...

You have to consider it in two aspects: Potential incomes/click rates and existing competition in that niche. The higher rates, the stronger competitors you will have to beat, to get your piece of cake.

I'm new to this business but have similar question - I have a few sites that together get over 1500 unique hits per day which I'm thrilled about - all have adsense code but a good day breaks $1.00 - 99% of my traffic goes to tattoo sites - have I choosen a bad niche? Low paying by adsense average?

The question is correct. Not all the niches are producing the same amount of money...for example...I have a site with a specific niche...with more pages views than another one from other niche that makes 30 times more...this says it all...

A niche isn't worth pursuing unless you can add quality content to it every day. Otherwise you will plummet from the SERP's and make jack.

If you do not get many clicks then I suggest an advertising network that pays you per thousand impressions instead of per click.

As others said, the best niche is the one you are interested in. Of course it helps if the niche you are interested in happens to be the high paying nice :D

If you want to enjoy creating article of what topic that gets your interest and at the same time earn money it's you who should decide on what niche you like but if your goal is to earn more money and can't right about any kind of topic will it's better for you to target niche that is highly paid by adsense.

I would like it to be somewhat interesting, but it doesn't have to be. I need to create a high paying adsense income site to help cover my college fees. Any niche that attracts 16-20 age group would be best, but I'm not really sure how to go about creating a niche site, and even what niches are what, my problem is I tend to be too broad.

So, in your opinion, what is the best niche for making money.

Then you're looking for a gaming site. Gaming niches are very good (profit wise) if you can attract thousands of visitors.

Yep, but depending on what niche will determine how much....Lots of factors like actual advertisers in the niche, competition, how much you can write about it, how many searches.....

Find a niche that gets good searches, has lots of advertisers, lots of topics to write about and has low competition

Well start from here, 400 Highest Paying Adsense Keywords for Nov 2007

Go through the list and pick a bunch of keywords you know something about and can develop content for.

Head to Google and query the terms, check the top sites, do allinanchor: and allintitle: operators, Google various long-tail versions of the keywords etc to get an idea which niche is easiest to break in to using long-tail to start.

No matter what niche you choose, at least you know you will be "up there" in terms of high click value.

    Good luck.

here is one thing you should try out, should only take a few minutes

pretend you won a shopping spree from amazon.com, and you're allowed to have any 10 items you want, narrow it down to five if you have similar items.... and there you have it, YOUR niche, then direct it towards your target. don't go for the target first, if you want to earn money for college, you will need a well thought out site. keep up with your marketing and ad placement.

A good Adsense niche is one that:

    - is interesting to you (if not, you'll quit early)
    - is one in which you're willing to invest a lot of time and work, and patience - and maybe some money
    - is one in which you can offer something a little different or better than other sites in the same niche
    - is one that is not so narrow that there is little interest, and not so broad that your site is lost in the competition
    - is one for which Google has ad inventory (do a Google search on the keyword and look for Adsense ads)
    - is one for which ads pay more than a few cents per click
    - is one that is not a fad or of temporary interest
    - is one that is not technical (technical visitors don't click ads)
    - is not about how to make money on the Internet with Adsense

The balancing act that is required is this: The niche should be broad enough to have some competition (which creates higher paying ads) but not so broad that you'll have to fight your way up in the search results against massive competition. High paying ads are high paying because there's lots of competition for that topic, keyword, or niche. If you build a site for a high-paying niche, you become part of that competition, fighting for the same traffic as the sites producing the ads.
