Okay. I have this website, http://www.ptctalk.com Last month it got 350k unique visits, and I barely earned over $200. This month it has gotten almost 200k already, but I am only making between $3 and $10 a day. It has a forum with over 1,000 users, and almost 150 members online per 24 hours (probably 300-500 active users total). I am really trying hard to get more revenue from adsense, I see so many people on here talking about how they make $10,000 a month and whatnot..Id be happy to make $1-$3k a month. $3,000 a month is my goal. I just recently updated a lot of things on the site, and added some new features in the past few days, which have already caused a significant jump in my traffic, and I also just added some more adsense skyscrapers to a few of the higher traffic pages of the site, and am waiting to see how that goes. I could really use some tips on how to get more people clicking adsense, so that I can hopefully at least come close to my goal! I would have posted this in the Placement / Reviews / Examples board, but I am looking more for tips and tricks, and maybe something I should do to get more clickers than positioning, although all tips are helpful, I honestly feel that this is the best place for this post. Why don't you try to implement ad links on your forums? Ad links work wonders for forums, also; don't rely on adsense as a sole revenue generator - you should try Kontera too. It works wonders for forums.
What do you mean by Ad Links? Is it a different service from adsense? Or is it the link units from adsense? If its the link units, I have them in every topic.
I have a 728x90 leaderboard text/image unit under the 2nd post, and a small link strip under the 1st and 5th. Now I changed it, leaderboard is under the 1st, and the strip is under the 2nd and 5th.
Blah. I checked my stats again, I was looking at the wrong site before (a site I cant put adsense on...), I have only gotten about 100k uniques this month so far, and around an average of 150-200k per month. I expect it to rise though.
Ya, I was talking about the link units. Try changing your ad at the top, replace it with a leaderboard.
You need a 728x90 on the footer of your main page. Color match is with the background. And definatly a color matching Google search someplace close to the index. You have the traffic to make a lot but there just isn't any ads around your site.
Unfortunately, a leaderboard is too long to fit up there with my banner, so it automatically makes a break and goes under the header, lol.
