I got my first ACRU conversion yesterday. I have another one pending. That $25 bump is really nice when you log into CJ. One of my blogs has an average commission of just under a dollar while the other one is closer to .38 cents. So the $25 ACRU is wonderful. Yesterday I also reached a new click high for the day so I am hoping that will be a continuing trend.
ACRU stands for Active Registered User. Basically, you send a visitor to Ebay and if they are not a current registered user of EBay and they sign up you get $25. I have pasted below the answer from Ebays site. Q: What does "ACRU" mean? A: An "ACRU" is a new eBay active user. That means an individual who: (a) registers for eBay for the first time; (b) confirms his or her registration with an eBay-supplied password sent by email; (c) then goes onto eBay and places a bid or uses BIN to purchase an item within 30 days of their original registration.
Thank you....I didn't know that so it's like an added bonus. Is there a way to generate an ACRU link for promotion?? Not that I have any evil ideas lol...but at $25.00 a pop I would run it across a few different things.
I am still new to this so I don't have an answer for that one. The thought has crossed my mind though. I was wondering if you could identify a niche that for whatever reason there would be a large number of people that wouldn't normally shop online. So if you could find them and provide them the right products at the right prices maybe they would be compelled to sign up and buy. I read on a forum somewhere that somebody was promoting Ebay as a home business and they were selling an ebook on becoming a dropshipper. People would buy the ebook and they would sign up for Ebay using his aff link giving him two sales for those that did not already have an Ebay account.
That is my exact conversion percentage right now. Of course that is based on two leads. I got my first two lead signups within a couple of days of each other but only one has converted so far.
