First, the campaign has debunked the source of this blog post. I cannot stress enough, that the simple minded neocons, really need to check source on blogs that do not themselves provide a source. Just because someone blogs something, and it fits your agenda, doesn't make it true. Lorien, GTech and now D16 have all fallen prey to bad blogs as authoritative sources. Second, RP never stated that the military should not be used. I did. Using Posse Comitatus as the defending principle. I'll see if I can dig up his official position, from the horse's mouth.
Not for argument, just curious. Wouldn't it be different if the military is used to keep people out, they would not be internally inside the country. I need sleep myself
Of course. The military is required to defend our security and sovereignty, but not to enforce domestic law on the citizens. Bear in mind, there is a big difference between the military guarding the border, and the military chasing around and rounding up illegals in NM, CA, TX and AZ.
Some of our DP Crazy Gang are so desperate that they will simply cling onto anything, including an unsourced blog.
You're very welcome. If folks would like to see how much Ron Paul has flip flopped in 20 years, you can watch this interview from 1988. http://www.ronpaularchives.com/index.php?option=com_seyret&Itemid=33&task=videodirectlink&id=169 The only flip flop I see is on the death penalty. Ron Paul no longer supports it. With regards to Paul and the military on the border, I can't find anything. You can go to www.ronpaul2008.com, even if you are a Huckabean, and email the campaign for his clear position on using the military to secure the border. A campaign spokesperson or communications assistant will provide policy position. http://www.ronpaul2008.com/contact/form Select "Issue Positions" from the drop down.
