What's the minimum amount of uniques you should have before starting Adsense?

I should reach 1,000 for this month if the average continues. I have been reading that google doesn't like under performing sites, and may also be Smart Priced.

Any suggestions are appreciated - thanks!

    You don't need any minimum

I would have to say 1. (you most likely will look at your site when u add the code, therefore the minimum is 1)

    I second that.

Theres no limit, as long as your site follows the ToS, then it should be fine. Whether it earns money or not is another matter, though. :)

Agreed, my site doesn't get much traffic yet but I still put up adsense anyways, it can't hurt =)

as everyone else mentioned... there is no min with google..

but it's also true about the smart pricing feature... but as your site begins to grow you will get paid more per click...

i'd say get adsense up and forget about the rev... concentrate on SEO and getting traffic over to your site.

You don't need a minimum, however, I have noticed that some sites with very low traffic display Google's Public Service Announcement (PSA) ads instead of the targeted ones.

It's easier to get links if you don't have ads, so get those first and put your ads later. What's the point of getting 10 cents a day, promote your site instead.

You traffic levels have no effect on Smart Pricing. This is based on conversions.

Koan, those were my initial thoughts. I'm in the early link building stage, and I figured the less the site looks like an advertising site, the better for initial links.

I wouldnt worry about unique hits - unique content and a quality website is more important.

Like all the guys said NO LIMIT. But to get approved in adsense you need to have good working site, if the review team find any broken link or under construction page then there are chances that you would not be accepted.....

When I applied for AdSense with my Blogspot blog, I was accepted with very little content.
