hello all, i wanted to know which is better for getting one way links. is it better to have your links in an article directory that doesn't have any pr but hopefully it will in time with the article relating to your website. or is it better to have one way links from related websites on their links page that has pr4?
Links on relevant pages/websites are always the best. You should be seeking targeted traffic over any PR value to be gained, so it doesnt really matter what the PR is - more important is; "How relevant is the theme to your own website?" "Does the website get traffic?" "How well does it rank in SERPs?"
Off course links from related sites would be better but one way links from other sites could still help even just a little.
Submit your articles (which contain a link back to your site) to article directories as many as possible. And Google will be indexed your site.
It all depends, how many links are on the PR4 links page? If there was 100 for example the PR benefit would be almost nothing and you are better off going with the article. But if it was less than 10 i would take it.
Yes, it's true. If there are too many outbound links, it'll be useless. Don't forget that many related websites (which could provide you that PR 4 link) are created just for link building.
yes, let's say that the link page would have no more than 50 links. what do you think would be better then?
I would also need to check the backlinks of the article directory to determine it's internal (not toolbar) Pagerank and also how many clicks from the home page, cache dates etc to give an "accurate" opinion on which link will hold more weight.. But most likely still the PR4
i'm kinda in a money crunch right now and only want to spend it on one. so i wasn't sure which is better and i'm getting different opinions here on this thread which is better. i thought i also might have read that google might be cracking down on article directories? any thoughts on that?
