transfer .com at low price?

Is there any place to transfer .com for less than $6.99? Or what would be the cheapest price?
Rite now i only found godaddy that allows transfer as this price. Is there any other website that transfers for lower price?

    Best Regards,

Check out "Crucial Web Hosting" (sorry I can't post links for now, just google it)

A domain name registration, transfer, or renewal with Crucial is only $5.99 per year. No strings attached and no hidden fees, the domain is 100% under your control.

I just created a hosting account with them.
However I didn't try their domain service :(
Just consider it. Yeah it's cheaper than GoDaddy.

The cheapest place I've found from a reputable company is $5.99 @ Name.com, in fact, just doing some transfers a few days ago to them.

If there are 8 days left for expiration, i would advise against transferring the name, domain transfers are not always successful at first attempt.

If you have ssh access on both servers, you can use scp.
If the two hosts support fxp, you can use a fxp client.
Else, you must download the files to your local HD, and then upload them to the new server :)

No matter which way you will do, it is good to pack the files into one big file.

Yeah, read. Try goDaddy. But you need credit card.

    A few clarifications..

    GoDaddy does allow paypal..
http://www.itliberty.com (click Vist Our Store) - I am a GoDaddy reseller and I mark all of the domains the lowest they can go.

Also, to transfer in GoDaddy it cost nothing..if you change the registrant name it costs nothing to move it from one account to another account. The transfer only costs if you bring it from another registrar but that is because you are forced to renew a year.

THIS IS BIG: Many registrars, including GoDaddy, will NOT transfer the name if it is close to renewal date in fear that during the transfer process the name could get dropped. Some have made it 30 days. They also will not transfer if registrant name has changed recently. So decide what your goal is before making too many changes.

    Hope this info helps.

    Hi! itliberty
Thanxs for sharing the information, i really didn't knew all this things, luckily i have not changed my registrars name so think i will not face any problem.

I have three domain name initially all were hosted at different place, as all are expiring soon, am purchasing one hosting is it possible to run all three domain from 1 hosting or i need 3 different hostings? just pointing all domain to one hosting will serve my problem? or is there any other way, i'll be using all three websites for different application.

    Best Regards,
    Ritesh Jain

Godaddy accept only verified paypal. You cam't complete transaction if you hold unverified paypal.
