Hello. Are you a Widgetbucks user? I have a Q., maybe you can help with it. Some days ago I signed with Widgetbucks, then I put 3 of their ad units on my web site. This site had already Adsense units, that were yielding like $20.00 daily. OK, traffic is the same as before but curiously it looks like nobody has click on the WIDGETBUCKS ads (at least, the WB web site shows 0 earnings and 0 clicks). Is this normal? I can't believe that, in four days, I don't have a single click on WB banners, however clicks on Adsense units and traffic is the same as before. Any Ideas? Thanks.
that is true i had very low CTR on Widgetbucks as compared to Adsense but the pay nice amounts per click
WidgetBucks is a shopping widget so unless someone is in a shopping mood ( or if your site is shopping oriented) you are bound to see fewer clicks. As Mr. Ahmed said you get a higher CPC compared to adsense.
OK, but can you tell me...if I go to the widgetbucks page, under "my widgets", should I see the actual clicks even if there is only one click, or clicks start showing after x amount? It is hard to believe that after several days, with normal traffic, no one clicked even once on the WB widgets. I wonder if I'm doing anything wrong. Thanks.
Make sure you have selected all time for earnings. I think it might be set to the present days earnings. Let me know if this helped.
#1 I'm sick of people like you posting Widgetbucks questions in the AdSense questions. Try to read what section you're posting in before making a new thread. You must have some sort of disorder. #2 Your sites are probably targeting international traffic. If you would've taken the time to read Widgetbucks FAQ you would've got your answers from there.
#3: I'm sick of people full of it, like you. You have SEVERAL disorders, FKA200. First, if you know how to read, I am an ADSENSE user, and second...if someone asks a question, it goes to those interested in helping others, so entities like yourself do not need to apply. #4: Go to #3.
Just because you're an AdSense user doesn't mean you can post unrelated topics in the AdSense section.
It's not exactly crime of the century. His initial post referred to Adsense as well as WB and he's relatively new here, so try and be a little more supportive rather than critical. As for the post - I haven't used WB, but have just applied and will be happy to report back to you my findings if I'm accepted.
I try to. I really do. But when you see 15 threads/day about Widgetbucks in the AdSense section it gets frustrating. I shouldn't have been an ass in my first post. A bit of an overreaction. I do apologize. Like I said, international clicks aren't bring counted with Widgetbucks at the moment. If the click isn't seen from US/Canada, you get nothing for it. The CPM ads they currently introduced is crap as well. The only thing I'd suggest is to try it for 2-3 days. I'd normally suggest 1-2 weeks, but it would be lost revenue if you have international traffic. http://widgetbucks.blogspot.com/2007/12/international-cpm-q.html
widgetbucks wont show any clicks for traffic other than from usa and canada and will be listed under CPM tab. So you might want to check it there. It is not normal to not to see clicks stat for that many days if there were any. Also widgetbucks may produce only good results if your site is shopping related and showcasing similar products as in the widgetbucks.
I think they may either be having problems with real-time reporting... or are still playing around with their reporting stats. I have noticed that the "today", "yesterday", and "this week" stats have disappeared from my account... but my few clicks eventually show up someday. Might also want to think about where you have placed your widgets and where your visitors go on your site. If their slow ads are not loading... and your visitor clicks to go to next page... they will not register any views.
That's not the only thing that's down. The amount of cash they pay per click is also going down every day so it seems :s
