can you really trust the advertizers?

I signed up for a program saying I would get 100 usd per sale for people signing up for their webhosting program.

To me this just sounds a little too good to be true.

Can you really trust that you'll actually get the money? What prevents them from getting customers from my links and just never acknowledge they came from me?

I have just used google adsense until now, and with that system you can be safe and know that the advertisers aren't screwing you, since it all goes via google. But with CJ you have to trust these shady advertizer companies?

Or does CJ has some way of actually guaranteeing we get money from sales from our clicks?

They usually require the customer to have payed for at least 3 months of hosting or something to that extent. GO through the fine print and you'll see all the details.

CJ is a reputable company, if you send honest traffic you will be paid. With hosting your $100 will go into extended for 2 months to make sure the client is genuine. Who can pay a $100 comm for a one month $9.90 sign up?

what do you mean "go into extended for 2 months?"

It's not that I don't trust CJ. I don't trust the CJ client who promise I will get 100 usd for a sale of webhosting (which cost 4 usd/month)...

This is what the CJ advertizer mailed me:

"Each new hosting customer sale earns a whopping $100! No percentages or term length restrictions. This is for every new customer sale."

My question is, does CJ has any way of actually tracking the sale? Or they too have to trust the word from this hosting company I never heard of and which promise 100 usd for one sale.

My page gets around 300 usd per month from google adsense. I tried CJ once before for a month and didnt get a single sell so I am a bit sceptical..

payments made via cj usually go into "locked" for the previous months commissions which means you will be paid that month or the advertiser can put payments into "extended" for a period of time before "releasing" the payment into locked.

it means your payment is recognised but they are holding it pending confirmation that the client is genuine and will renew the hosting package.
