lmao; well if its still much better then the bugs don't count do they. cmon, your supposed to be a SEO guy?
Well I was just saying that I never faced any problems and if it has bugs then I think the guys at PHPLD will soon think about fixing it.
Wow, somehow I am not surprised. I saw where Simon announced the new version was being released. He's made a lot of promises about things changing now that there are some new players and an infusion of cash. I guess that cash still didn't budget for weekend support. Since so many directory owners I know have regular 9-5 type jobs as well, weekend support should be a priority. Everyone involved with phpLynx checks the forums and provides support everyday of the week. I seriously doubt any of the major players, other than Esyndicat, seem to think there's only 5 days in a week. I had hoped that they had finally figured out what they were doing wrong. No bugs in 2.2? That would be truly amazing.
That's a biggest bull$$ I ever heard! I decided to look for another script after I paid for phpLD 3.+ and 3-4 month later still could not get anyone from support to help fixing some installation problems. Guess what? Guys from eSyndicat support fixed my phpLD problem
Recently we have released a new version Release Candidate 2 and it has all the known bugs fixed. It's possible you can still find few bugs but in general it's just a RC version, so i don't think it could be a big problem. We will try to prepare a stable version without any bugs. If you follow our versions, you will able to see how many changes there have been done in v2.2. Here are some of the new features: Plugin system Possibility to create additional fields for different categories. Possibility to set different pricing for different categories. Possibility to set additional fields for sponsored plans. Spider functionality. Tag clouds plugin. Menu builder that allows to form your all menus on the site from admin control panel. and many many many other new features. WTM, thanks a lot for your support!!
Pathetic comment, no big problem for you but for end users who've parted with hard earned money it IS a big deal. This says you clearly release UNSTABLE versions KNOWING this which is bang out of order. Stop using the public to beta test for you, pay people or use people without charging them for the privalage of testing for you. I have, why don't you fix the existing bugs on older versions before moving on. Other than that good luck with your script but remember, its only as good as the support that is provided with it.
For what it's worth, eSyndicat has good functionatliy, however I have installed the 2.2 and have had basic bugs (like editing or creating a listing) that don't work - they don't work on weekends, and only go back / forth with you once every 24 hours. I have been working over 7 days to get it working properly. Summary - good features, spotty support.
I am still using the script and will soon make a switch to PhpLD for the reasons below. 1. Support has a weekend holiday and you are all alone on the forums. 2. The admin panel is not as cool as PhpLD. 3. I really Sergey from Esyndicat support team, But most of the times there is just no one to help him out on the support forums. Thanks for the bump to this thread after almost 2 months
I am using esyndicate from long time. Yes they had some bugs in in release 2.2 but they have fixed all near by all, and i never faced problem with their support, and all mods in esyndicate is free. Yes i felt too alone in the forum, when they were busy hunting the bugs I like the script. and happy.
oh man. i should have read these posts before buying it. i just purchased esyndicate i am not exactly sure what version, but i think i purchased it like two months ago. good thing is i haven't found much errors or bugs, but hey, i am new with scripting so i am not sure how to check for bugs and that kind of stuff. please see my esyndicate directory and tell me what u think: Directory Homepage

Hi all, Well, I see many PRO & CONTRAS for eSyndiCat and of course I can understand this. When this thread started Red_Virus mentioned a couple of bugs and we released Release Candidate version there. We had a stable 2.1.03 version and he could install it in order to have the stable version. Now we already released our stable version and it really works fine if you have appropriate server that fits script requirements. In December we will release additional patch that fixes all the known bugs and our software will be even more stable and bugless. About our support, we do have weekends and we don't provide support on weekends. I hope it's a temporary problem and we can solve it asap. But you should also note we provide FREE support and take in account a number of eSyndiCat members. We simply don't have too many supporters to make all our customers happy though we do try to this. In October all our programmers were working on the stable version development and of course this negatively affected our support. Anyhow now the things are much better in the forums I think ki3000 If you have any questions regarding our software please post in esyndicat support forums
what is the url to your forums? i can't find them on ur site. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ List your site free in our directory | Check out our new search
Their forums are located at www. esyndicat. com/forum/index. php If things are still the same as when I signed up, you'll have to purchase the product license and make a special request before you'll gain entry into the Pro forum section where all the bugs are reported. And what a nightmare it is. There are literally more than 100 bugs reported since October 2007. As a licensed user, I went back and compared the "fixed" bugs on their forum to the RC2 code I downloaded recently. Most of their fixes have not been applied to the code, even though the fixes were made well before I downloaded the code. This means that I am going to have to spend days sorting through this entire mess, finding the bug fixes that have not yet been applied, then patching the code up on my own. Anybody that considers purchasing a license for this product should insist on first having access to the Pro forum so they can judge for themselves the quality of the product and service. I'm sure that if they made this Pro forum public, for pre-sales consideration, they would be out of business very quickly.
Not really that hard to miss if you would look at the top menu on all pages. I see this is your first post. Most of what you say is a bunch of crap. And I can pretty well guess who you are. If you have the balls, PM me your screen name you use there. I'll do the same with mine in return.
okay people am not really sure where this is going, but hopefully i totally don't want to get involved. anyways, i just thought it would be easy to order the categories, but after running the script, it doesn't seem that easy and now i guess i've to go to their forum to ask about this. anyways, for any1 concerned i do have the license for it.
co113c70r why didn't u just upgrade to their stable version and then see if that covers the bugs. RC2 is a release candidate and since then they released their stable version which should cover all known bugs before its release. I am not sure how ''easy'' easy can be. All you need is to go to your configuration>> categories configuration to sort and order their categories.
Thanks Majnoon. I don't know why this is was so hard for that person who recommended me to actually go to their forums and post it. look, it took line 2 lines to explain, and that person who works for the software wanted me to go through so much including finding where i placed the license just to get a simple answers. oh man. anyways, thanks Majnoon. good thing we have some people like urself on DP who are willing to give a hand to others.
That person that recommended for you to actually go to their forums and post it, is the owner of Esyndicat (Simon Gooffin). It sure would make a lot more sense to post a question there then here.
I have an esyndicat license(about 9months left) and a domain if anyone wants it, send me a PM for further details.
