What script is this site using?

 

The site doesn't use any prepackaged scripts. I did the programming for it. The PHP function that's used to read the data from RSS feeds is pretty standard.

Not sure about Yahoo's ability to push a domain from one Yahoo account to another Yahoo account if that's what you mean. The domain would have to be transferred.

To those asking about purchasing the script only, the script is not packaged for resale; however, depending on what you plan on doing with the script, I might be willing to put a quick package together and sell you a copy. I'm not willing to sell a copy to anyone planning on turning around and selling the scripts as their own product. I've been down that road already. Used to have a fairly popular dating script on the market as well as some other scripts. Moved on to other things after I got fed up with not being able to control the piracy problems, and I'm definitely not interested in going down that road again.

I don't expect you to offer me half your weekly salary but please try to be fair and make an offer that you yourself wouldn't consider an insult if someone was making it to you. Do you mean pulled from the feed source site as in from metacafe where the site pulls the data from? If so, you would simply need to insert the URL to the feed into the database table. As is, the site has no option for you to do that from the browser. I did it manually via phpmyadmin when I first built the site. However, writing a function so you would be able to do it from a browser interface won't be a huge problem. The site only pulls from metacafe. Since someone enquired about youtube, I am writing a script to pull from youtube feeds as well. Based on the way I'm extracting info from the XML files for saving to the database, all feed sources would require their own importing script. Since I wrote the scripts for my own use, I was content with just using metacafe feed as it served my purpose.

 

Not in this script. But I had started a video sharing network script a while back and would consider picking it back up if I thought there would be any interest, although I'm sure there are scripts already on the market that you can use.

 

The site has been sold. Thanks for all the interest. I am putting a package together for anyone interested in obtaining the scripts to build their own site. I'll make it as much a site in a box as I can with admin capabilities and the ability to import from youtube and metacafe; but it won't be anything fancy as I won't have time for any major development projects.
