    he is a contractor so he rarely wear tie..

    the things is i didn't see him for 5 years..and i talk to him like once in three month so i don't really know him that well...

    i wish i had spend more time with him

    Does he drink? How about a bottle of some really expensive liquor. Or maybe a case of cheap beer. :p

    Or if he is a contractor, maybe some tools?

    I bought him a wallet last year..didn't realize Hong Kong's dollar bill is much bigger than USD so that was a waste.

    My dad doesn't drink so can't buy him alcohol

    dad is such a headache. I got my mom and brother a Ipod Nano and my sister a pair of sneaker..but still have no idea for my dad...

    Get one of those worldwide prepaid visa cards - he can buy whatever he wants that way.

    - Just make sure you get a good card to go with it.

    That is what I do with people I don't really know...

    Yea i always buy giftcards for my dad to walmart or $100 worth of bob evans gift certificates which they always love those to go out and have a good meal, you can also buy a movie giftcard to go with the bob evans certificates so they can watch a movie after or before.
