    Sounds like a good idea to get some quality users to visit and add content to your forum.

    Please PM me when the site launches.

    that is a useless post made to run up post count, please don't do that....

    ukwebmasterforum - i had a bit of time to think about this, instead of paying for posts, maybe you want to start a contest instead or in conjunction with your current scheme, that says quality posts and gets people competing for quality posts, quantities etc, so it can grow exponentially. just an idea...

    Yeah, this could be a great idea actually. Maybe offer a grand prize after 6 months for the best poster, maybe a PS3, or maybe something more relevant to webmaster topics, for example;

    • A copy of Aaron Wall's SEO Book
    • Domain name
    • £200 worth of AdWords credit
    • £50 transferred to PayPal

    But what I was thinking just now was what if I offered all of the above, and people can only apply for the prize, if they put something towards the prize fund as well. For instance, if I wanted to be entered into the competition I had to offer a decent prize, for example; The Rich Jerk eBook, or something along those lines. If we ran the competition for 3 months let's say, the prize could be pretty good for the lucky winner, and possibly ask some trusted person on the Internet to award the prize, I would pay for this person to feature it on their blog too (i.e. ShoeMoney, John Chow, etc).

    What do you guys think?

    three months as a time frame is very long, most contests run for around a month, hence why i said you could couple it with incentives etc.....

    not sure people applying for a prize is so great, but thats just me...
