Refunds?

Ok I have had 5 sales regarding download niche, all 5 have been refunded. Is anyone else having high refund rates on the Download sites, for like movie, music etc.. I mean I know the refund rate was high for this niche but seriously 100%

I am about to drop this campaign if the next sale refunds.

 

Download sites make you download from free torrent softwares which are available for free on the web. So why would someone ever be willing to pay money for something which is freely available?

 

While what ryanman said is true, returns are actually not that high.
5 measurements is way too little to derive any statistics.

 

Agreed he needs to make some more sales and than evaluate. Although it's available for free most internet users are below average users who are not aware of the free stuff available online and this is the major reason why most movie download sites are still in business.

 

People pay for usenet because it is very quick. Public torrents are slow and can be a pain in the arse.

Same applies for these movie sites. Not everyone knows about torrents and usenet, so people sign up.

 

I am promoting movie download products for more than a year now and refunds have not been more than 20% ever. I might be a lucky chap.

I have had more than 1000 sales in last year well approx 200 refunds also accompany them.

If you are using PPC then do make sure to add price to the ad title/description to save some good bucks from advertising cost.

 

In case of Movies and Music download sites, there is a higher percentage of refunds.

 

I don't care what people say, 5 refunds for 5 sales is horrible. 2 refunds for 5 sales is horrible.

1 refund for every 10 sales is OK, but still on the bad side in my opinion.

We have like a 1.1% refund rate which is very good. If over 10% of your sales are refunds, I suggest ditching that product unless your overall ROI is great

 

True. I would rather not make a sale than get a refund. Not only does it cause extra charges but also mental tantrums .

 

That is why I am on the verge of dropping this campaign but I will leave it up for a while. I mean I have the domain for atleast the next year. But I don't know how much more promotion I will do of the site.

 

There are many options also. Maybe the specific site you are promoting has a broken feature or something. Try a different one?
