Of course. Anything that comes to your bank account assume that IRS knows about it.

Hard to say what's the threshold, theoretically you need to report any earnings, even if it's like $100. But I suppose if it's a one time wire transfer, or if it's a relatively small amount you've made in a year, like few k's - you should be ok.

Always better to consult an accountant.

Yes I pay tax, I had to register as a business last year, and the tax return is a right pain if you are employed and self employed at the same time.

    Thanks Brian

I don't pay taxes on online income because it is too little of an amount and it is all converted to expenses.

Other than that, yes I pay taxes, I'm always on time to make sure I don't get nailed by the IRS.

I run my online earnings through a limited company which makes about the
    fist $50,000 a year tax free :)
The rest stays in the company, but incurs about 20% corporation tax :(
They get you in the end.

As per my previous post I would imagine that Google and Paypal are among the businesses that report annual earnings over $600 to the IRS via form 1099a copy of which is sent to the member.

Anyway, To make the kind of money that gets reported means that you must be at least partially successful in your business. What is the problem in paying your fair share of taxes like other working people?

No one is exempted over here from tax. Everyone pays and if does not pay will have to pay in future. Death and Tax are the certainities of life. :)

Your parents will have to claim your taxes if you're under 18.
