Another game where we dominate, dominate and yet lose. O' Shea that time around, now Tevez. Torres wasn't too accurate today- he should have got his header on target after Anderson cleared off the line. You could say the same for his left footed shot that aimed for the far post. As for United, they got one good chance, and converted it beautifully. Excellent set piece, brilliant work from Rooney, and great finish by Tevez. United were solid at the back- especially Vidic and Ferdinand. Van Der Sar was probably lucky that none of his errors lead to a goal- Ferdinand's header could have gone in had Evra not cleared it. It is one of those things- the rub of the green I suppose. On another day, it could well have been 2-1 in favour of the Reds.
Everyone can win when they're on form. Its winning even when you've had a poor game is what champions are made of. And luckily(and surprisingly) for us, Ferdinand played well today
He even shouted at EVDS for poor goalkeeping Champions do seem to somehow manage to pull a rabbit out of the hat when it is most required. And when things do go your way, you know that you have an edge over the rest. As opposition, you can do 99 things right, and one thing wrong and you'll pay for that one mistake. As the winner, you can do 10 mistakes and still come out of the game victorious Look at City this season- they have won games that they would surely have lost last season. Rooney could have finished it off towards the end- fortunately his attempt was not on target. I forgot Babel's shot in my first post.
United have the grit and guile to win these type of very important matches and at this level that attribute is so important, this United side has that little extra, especially when they can beat a top top side like Liverpool at Anfield to move them 9 points clear of Liverpool who have one game in hand United held the midfield very well today and that was an edge too 2 great sides but only one team get the 3 points
Great performance today! Ronnie did not get the goal unfortunately. But, overall a fantastic result for MU.
Yea, the period after Babel was brought on was when you looked most likely to score, and we got a few lucky breaks. But we kept our composure and got through it
United continue to display in the Premier League and the Champions League that edge that separates winners from runners up Expecting a big big season from United this year.......... we are looking more and more like winners ............ its very early to make predictions but we are very very solid
Yeah MANU really played good today. But the goal was really a defence nonsense. How could be a player like Tevez unmarked in 6yard box!!!!!!!! Rafa is not thinking about present I think...he is too much concerned about the new year transfer market. Liverpool have no chance to win the title.. I am watching the Arsenal-Chelsea Match now..and Gallas guns a goals... 3cheers for Arsenal
You should say that in the Real Madrid or Chelsea fans thread Or go into the Gunners' thread and say, " We have Henry ! We have Henry ! " PS- Welcome to Digital Point.
It was a great performance by Liverpool and good win by Manchester United. United have only 2 or 3 good chance and they converted one bt Tevez. Liverpool played better but Tevez is unmarked at the edge of Goal box. Another good chance for United was Rooney's chance over Ronaldo's pass in second half. United hold Liverpool well because of their Mid fielder and defender otherwise United may consider 2 goals because of EVSR.
What the fuck!? Messi beats Ronaldo for second spot - ofcourse Kaka deserved to win, but Ronaldo more than deserved to be second. Messi, wtf?
