PR drop from 4 to 0 yesterday

Hi. I'm new with all this SEO and pagerank so excuse me if my
questions seem dumb and naive. During the last quarterly pagerank update, my
blog: http://natalie1981.blogspot.com increased from zero to four
which was a bit of a surprise for me since most websites dropped in
ranking due to what they call text link selling and I was a member of
payperpost and had some paid post on my site even before the update.

Just yesterday, I noticed that my pagerank dropped from four to zero.
Now I know that maybe Google has just noticed that I'm a member of
payperpost and they just recently noticed my paid posts and decided to
slap me with a penalty but I'm thinking of submitting my website for
reconsideration so I was wondering if I really need to remove the paid
posts or is it okay to just put the rel=nofollow tag? I don't want to
remove my paid posts since some of them brings traffic to my blog and
I've read that it's okay to have paid links just as long as it has the
nofollow tag, so is this true?

I also need help as to what other guidelines my blog may have violated
and how to fix this before I resubmit for reconsideration. I've read
the guidelines but I need some specifics so if anyone could help me I
    would really appreciate it. Thanks.

There are probably issues with google data centers, many have been de-indexed from the searches. Maybe this could be your issue. Otherwise, it could be your pay per post membership that got you a PR0.

Google doesn't approve sold links that pass juice, so probably the no-follow tag would be just enough. I however recommend you to ask google directly about your issues if nothing fixes in a week.

With all these penalties, PR has become an even worse way to measure a site. A very low PR site could be a great site with high traffic that just got penalized.

Thanks for the replies, guys. Over at Google Webmasters forum, somebody suggested that I just tag all my sponsored posts with paid reviews, disclose that its sponsored, add nofollow and then resubmit. Will try to do those things.

@mhmdkhamis, yes, I dropped in the google toolbar and even in the searchstatus add-on in my Firefox browser. :(

google is really starting to tighten the grip even further, it is a shame because its google that made the market for such thingds in the first place, now they are punishing people everywhere.

I've lost pageranks at many websites, it's some kind of punish. Don't try to find out why, just because...

It has to be a glitch with google.

My 4,5 years old site that had PR4 for over 3 years dropped to PR0 also in the last days. However all my rankings are the same and traffic is the same, nothing has changed.

I really dont have an answer to what happened. Really strange....Can a PR0 site have Sitelinks* in google ? Cos mine does have them.

*Sitelinks are additional links Google sometimes generates from site contents in order to help users navigate your site

Did google have a PR update last few days? Can anyone confirm that?

I don;t think sitelinks have anything to do with page rank.

pr doesnt effect traffic or rankings, its just there as a method of competition for webmasters, well WAS there because i dont use it anymore even though i still have a few decent PR sites

but you should also notice the amount of indexed pages in google, i know that PR has nothing to do with it but they both are decreasing for no reason

It maybe because your blog had payperpost.

Even using TLA can produce such results.

Did you try cheking your page rank at checkpagerank.com? Maybe your toolbar had an error. I have been in situations when my toolbar used to show PR5 when my blog had PR0. Then in one day or two it will come back to its normal position.
