Simple - Google indexed the Digg page and followed the link from the digg page to your page.

Im betting that google indexes digg a couple of times every hour thanks to the constantly updating content and also the whole load of aggregation.

Your probably lucky this time coz the bot got to your digg article quickly and indexed your page.

I've had several articles appear in google within minutes. It said "11 minutes ago" on the search result. I have RSS feeds for all of my content inside webmaster tools, so maybe that helps...

Google indexes popular websites with dynamic content, it helps people pull better relevant information while searching. If Google only searched Digg at certain times of the day, people would be synchronizing their Diggs to appear on the SERP's :p.

Quite right, as I reported in another thread last week I got a page indexed in 6 minutes a few weeks back, and I literally FELL across it in the Google serps whilst looking at who the potential competitors were for certain keyword combos!!!

SEO 101 - if you want your domain indexed in double time, set up a WP blog on it, allow the WP blog to ping google blog search. Ive done it a few times, gets listed in <1hr 75% of the time.

Google and digg are tight. :) Also, RSS feeds from blogs tend to be indexed very fast.

I've found that just having a link from my DP signature pointing to my websites is another great way of getting indexed fast. Perhaps not as good as Digg, though. I'll try that one out. Cheers. :)
