He's about as hum-drum as it comes on Illegal Immigration.

About the war he's just one of the pack there... Obama, Biden and Richardson (who also said he would bring back habeas corpus and follow constitution in the offing), Edwards also said he would end war, close Guantanamo and restore civil liberties, he wants to immediately pull 40 to 50,000 troops out... Clinton said she would begin to end war in Iraq and bring troops home, rescind executive orders President Bush had made that contradict the contitution and civil rights... Dodd wants out... Not to mention that the Libertarians never would have gotten us in there in the first place!

I think what you mean is he is the only Republican candidate who wants to immediately end the war. Well, whoop-dee-doo.

Actually he goes more into detail then the other candidates dare to do. He is the only one of them to mention how we helped to bring down democracy in iran by using covert action against mossadegh to bring teh dicator shah into power who gave them the favorable penny on the dollar oil contracts that they wanted.

Ron Paul is an honest politician with the record to prove it unlike the other candidates:).

Edwards also voted for the Iraq war so it's hard to believe too much of what he says.

Paul wants to go a lot further than just ending the war in Iraq, he wants to bring home our troops all over the world. He wants to stop our interventionist foreign policy. This is truly a huge difference from the other presidential candidates (save Kucinich & Gravel of course.) Even the Dem. candidates who say they want to end the war in Iraq want to keep soldiers there. Sure they are a lot better on this issue than Romney, Giuliani etc... but I don't think you can really compare them to where Paul stands on the issue. Paul is a far stronger anti-war candidate than Edwards, Clinton, or Obama.

Furthermore foreign policy is just one subject.

You mention civil liberties, there are no Dem. candidates (with the exception of Gravel & Kucinich again) who come anywhere close to Paul's stance on civil liberties. Edwards may give some lip service to it but the guy doesn't even believe in legalizing marijuana. I'm sorry if you don't believe in legalizing marijuana then you are NOT for civil liberties.

The mainstream Dem candidates are no big change. Do I think they would be an improvement over Dubya? Yes. Better than Romney or Rudy G? Yes. But their stances on the issues and their truthfulness doesn't compare to Paul's.

I don't think you are looking at the issues deeply enough if you see their stances as being similar, they aren't really.

And then of course you have economic policy where Paul is far different than the democrats.

    Are you kidding me?

Ron Paul ran under the Libertarian ticket in 1988. The Libertarian party may very well endorse him if he gets the GOP nod. They recently gave his campaign use of their New Hampshire voter phone database.

As far as the other candidates, none of them could promise they would have the troops home by 2013. Paul is going to bring all of the troops home. Europe, Japan, South Korea, etc. He's going to bring 300,000 troops home.

Also, none of the Democrats would take the Nuclear option off the table, except perhaps Gravel or Kucinich.

The difference between Paul and the other candidates, is that he has a 30 year record of not flip flopping on the issues. He's the only person running who has been against Iraq since Day 1. He's the only candidate talking about monetary policy.

When you say he is hum drum, I'm really questioning your comprehensive skills. He's unlike any other candidate on either side.

Do some research. Paul will hunt Bin Laden, but collapse the empire that is bankrupting this country.

I can't say without a doubt that he will win the GOP nomination, but I do know that he will be a major player, and by Super Tuesday, one of the last 3 men standing.

Just thought I would add, Biden, Edwards and Clinton are flip floppers supreme. They voted for the Patriot Act. These people give Bush a free reign, and then later campaign against the very bills they voted for.

What a joke. It's time for a candidate of change. Honesty, and smaller government with no unconstitutional legislation.

What is incredible, is that the campaign

    1) Did not organize this

    2) Did not hire a fund raiser to do this.

It was all some guy, who only found out about Dr. Paul a few months ago, and since then, he's brought the campaign over $7 million and a Blimp. Mind you, there is a legion behind it. Regular people.

Exactly! Thats why I have always said that this is a manifestation of the will and wishes of the people and in a way it is a modern protest towards the mainstream media and the establishment. Eat that Hillary and Giuliani fascists!
Thanks to the internet the people have an outlet where they can not be censored and or muted by the media, and this is our response.

I feel exactly the same! When I was a teen I didn't even care who the current President was, but I've learned more in the last year then I have in my entire life (about both sides of the debate). This is awesome.

Same here bro. It is critical that we are all informed citizens and keep our government in check and what better way to do that than have the power over it. Power to the people and for the people, thats what made America great, but we have steered away from that for years and we must turn things around sooner than later. Ron Paul is a symbol a reason an outlet a representation.

I find it funny that the neo-cons are not around yet. Can't wait for them to bask in Ron Paul's glorious pile of money soon too.

    $3 million. Amazing, simply amazing.

It looks like Goal #1 is reached (beating $12 million), Goal #2 is going to be beat by 6:00 EST (beating Nov. 5th), and Goal #3 (beating Shillary's single day, $6.2 million) is attainable.
