Dear Digital Point Friends I wanted to inform you of a recent scam I ren into. I was looking for a unique program to write articles better and quicker and came across thos instant article wizard company. It seemed on the surface to promise a great deal, but after trying it out I was extremely disappointed with it. I was lead to believe there was a 60 day money back offer, so I thought what the heck. That's where things get ugly. After several attempts to get a refund, I was treated awful by a service /sales tech. Stay away from ASKJOHNLEGER.COM They are stealing copywritten material from other sites!!!! This is obviously illegal So I did not want the product anymore. They say hey you fool didn't you read the sales description, our promise is conditional. It says that it will perform as he says it will or money back, that is bullcrap. I am arguing this point an dwill be sure to keep everyone updated on this scam. STAY AWAY FROM ASKJOHNLEGER.COM I will get the exact url to the idiot I purchase from They are currently stealing my $67 dollars. Jay
Here's the whole of the ticket submitted by this individual. I leave the decision to the reader as to who was acting "awful" here. Note, too, that this person began spamming my blog a total of 14 times in an attempt to get his hateful posts through. All because he would not live up to his agreement on the part of the guarantee, which says: "Instant Article Wizard is guaranteed to work as I say it does, helping you create quality articles faster than you can on your own, or I'll refund your purchase within 60 days. It's that simple. " He has yet to respond to the ticket saying in what way it failed to live up to that promise. Jon === Hello, I have not heard from you I would like a refund on this. » Reply by: Amin Hi Jay Check your earlier ticket. I responded to that. The money back guarantee is not unconditional. We refund if the product does not work as advertised. Can you tell me in what way it does not work as promised on the sales page? That's the only basis on which we can refund. Not because you've now decided that it's too expensive (although presumably when you hit the purchase button you didn't think it was too expensive). Amin has not asked you for anything that you did not agree to from the sales letter (which you apparently did not read). Respond to this ticket with the reason the software failed to fulfill it's promises, as stated on the sales letter guarantee: "Instant Article Wizard is guaranteed to work as I say it does, helping you create quality articles faster than you can on your own, or I'll refund your purchase within 60 days. It's that simple. " How did it fail in that regard? Jon Response Time: 44 Minutes Tue 11 Dec 2007, 22:19pm ===
Not all of it, his admins have been very rude to me through email, and have lied to me, Mr Leger professes the Bible and then lies in his ad. So do his admins. THE POINT IS, I WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW, THIS GUY WILL NOT REFUND MONEY, BECAUSE HIS AD HAS SHADY VERBAGE. He is a liar, Buyer Beware!!!
To funny, Although I think your both retards. I will say one thing your customer support sucks John. you had someone screaming at you just because you wanted the "reason" for his refund? It seemed to me he wasn't satisfied... I would have just given it back. Id never do business with you. Posting the ticket was a horrible idea.
I've seen the ads for that program and it pretty much tells you what it does. Don't act shocked that the program pulls sentences from other webpages when the salesletter shows a screenshot of sentences pulled from the program that are obviously from other webpages as opposed to the garbage spewed out by auto-generators. It basically tells you it helps you research it, then it's your responsibility to re-write it. I haven't bought that program, but for what it's worth I did buy a couple of his reports and found I was very happy with them. Haven't had to deal with his customer service yet, though.
In your first post it said that he was stealing content. How is he doing that, and where? Having proof of such theft will hurt him more then the rest of the ranting behavior seen in this thread.
All I wanted was the $67 back, Ihad the product for about 4 hours when I sent my first request for a refund and as for it copying from other sites. That just bothered me after I started to put a couple sentences together and I did not want to get in trouble. So the logical move was to say this is not for me, I want a refund, but know Jon warranty says it will do what he says it will do. Since when should the warranty protect the seller and be based on what the seller expects. This isthe day and age when you can return almost anything anywhere. Everybody knows is cost a whole lot more to get a new customer than it does to keep and existing one. Especially on the internet. I once heard that Nordstroms took a set of tires from a car and refunded a mans money for those tires. Nordstroms doesn't sell tires.
^ Just give the $67 back, and enoveltysigns.com, try reading reviews and products descriptions first next time.
So you are lying yourself in the first post, and lying to all of us that should be taking up your side? The two of you are a fine match then. I suggest that should John SAY he gave you your money back and then you'll both be happy The way I see it is if the warranty/guarantee lived up to it's own word, regardless of what the seller said, then that is all there is to go on, and you deserve nothing. Is there something that says you can get your money back based on dissatisfaction?
Ok I don't know about the customer support/ refund problem but what I CAN GIVE YOU is another reason why that article wizard MUST SUCK. If it's so good, john why don't you use it to write your articles yourself ? First: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=529401 and All I will say is ROFLcopter...
Do you realize that I run a network of many, many products and web sites? My time is better much spent writing code for my next product than writing articles. It's all about ROI (return on investment). But for many people (especially people new to the business), they don't have the resources to hire out their content creation, and they need a fast and inexpensive way to do it. That's what IAW is for. I'm afraid your logic falls flat. I mean, seriously. Bill Gates created MS Word, but do you think he writes his own correspondence, or does he have a secretary for that? Does that mean that MS Word is a lousy piece of software that doesn't work? Hardly. I'm no Bill Gates, but the principle is the same. Think about it: if 10 hours of writing articles will earn me $1,000 over the course of one year, that means it has earned me $100 for each hour. That's not bad. But if writing code for 10 hours to create a new project earns me $100,000 over the course of that same year, that's $1,000 for each hour. Which do you think I'm going to choose? Now, I don't want to miss out on the $100 per hour, either, so I hire that out to somebody for $100 and pocket the $900. It's all about the value of your time. Please think your "logic" through before posting such accusations. Jon
Well, I like Jon's stuff. I own and operate IAW regularly, and Jon states that a person needs to rewrite the stuff because it does research for you - and pulls the info from other places. Also, I believe the customer service was just doing his job. He wasn't deviating from any of the guidelines given on the sales page, he wasn't screaming back, and he wasn't giving in to toddler-like behavior, I tip my hat to the man. The sad thing is that the guy wanted a refund for a piece of working software. It did as Jon promised, and he wanted his money back for one reason: he wanted his money back. Hats off to Jon for making a good piece of software, and thumbs down to the guys who purchase a product with intent to fraudulently request a refund for the sake of stealing. Shame.
Truly speaking Jon is a mastermind and he said it rightly he will rather be comfortable in writing codes than writing articles for his many blogs there are many people whom I personally know satisfied with all the products and SEO tips of Jon...... me too will try to learn stuffs from him.
LOL, I realize I am a johnny-come-lately to this thread, (Hell, you can probably tell from my join date and number of posts that I only end up here on a rare search) but I just had to put in my .02. Absolutely. I do not own the software in question, but having checked out the sales page it is CLEARLY extracting material from the top 100 search results (copyright or not). If the OP had a problem with that, he/she needs to start paying attention before hitting the Paypal button. Personally, I think the product presents itself acurately as a "RESEARCH" tool. Anyone looking for some kind of "magic bullet" article writing tool, as I suspect the OP was, is kidding themselves. I think the product looks pretty cool, but I have no need for it because I am already happy with the outsource work I'm getting. That actually brings me to cystack's comment: A lot of us out there have a lot of "irons in the fire", be it software, content, site development, ebooks, whatever. To make it all work, it more often than not requires outsourcing regardless of what other projects are going on. Bottom line: enoveltysigns needs to learn to read sales pages and, most important of all, grow up.
I have had a bad experience as well. I bought the online article writer for $197, and it was definately not near as described. I never ended up using it because the quality was so bad (couldn't even try to rewrite them because they were such nonsense). So I wasted $197. Then I joined offto owned by Jon to cloak my clickbank links. Found site down, and I had to hurry and redo all my affiliate links. Then tried to use it again and my affiliate id's were being redirected back to offto homepage. Then I wrote askjonleger and got Amin who could not care less about my complaint. He said if I don't like offto, then don't use it. Recently I wanted to promote something, then I found it has Jonathon legers name on it. I decided against getting involved because of past experience. Sorry if that seems harsh Jon. You seem like a nice guy on the forum, but this is my experience as well.
The warranty isn't if you like it or not. It's if it works or not. You lost your sales reciept and everything, and he didn't break the guarantee, so you don't get a refund. It works the same way in Real life.
Hey, if you had the product for 4 hours, why didn't you state that just to begin? It would have saved a lot of time for both the customer guy and you. Being non-satisfied with a product is not enough reason to get a refund, after all, we are adults, we should behave the like. This is the day and age when it's easier to be informed and make a wise desition - as to get a refund. An attitude as the one that you showed all over the ticket text, well, I don't mean to be rude, but, it's at least childish. Nevertheless, if I were Leger, I would give you the money back, there is no point in arguing with you. Leger would lose, one way or the other. By the way, Mr. Leger, I was looking for the john+leger+scam keywords in Google and this is the "worst" I could find. Count me as your next customer, if and only if you reply to my customer ticket I posted today.
