Hi. I have tried my hand at promoting ClickBank products only to find negative balance in my Adwords account. But this time I am determined to taste success and am looking for a mentor willing to work with me(like a JV). I also need advice on the various things to be done and selecting a first niche to promote(first time). Hope I'll get some help.
Welcome to affiliate marketing. You will fail a LOT before you find something that works and you will "waste" a lot of money. Any affiliate worth their salt will NOT share their secrets or niches. Why would they? Just keep trying
consider niches like 'dog training', 'fish care' etc.. If you browse the cb marketplace, you can find many niche ideas
DONT do niches like internet marketing, fat loss, forex, panic and acne even pros find it hard with these niches
Welcome, check out my thread here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=592325 Good luck!!
Go for something popular that obviously sells. CB's marketplace is organised by popularity which means you can pick out the products that sell the most, and considering that CB itself had a $1million dollar day not so long ago - their most popular products MUST be popular. Oh yeah.... as an affiliate you're NEVER going to "dominate" a niche because you're generating sales for someone else. This means that although it's natural instinct to want to be the best and get the most sales... the fact of the matter is that you don't have to be #1 for "acne cure" to generate massive wealth. In fact, you could be on page 10 and still get hundreds of $ a day. It's all about how you pitch your offer to your visitor. Just think long-term, perpetual traffic with a multitude of sources ALL of which add value to your web property OR to the visitor. For example, use Yahoo Answers but don't just plug your site - give a solution which involves your site and a few others. Now I might get shot down and burried alive for saying this now but direct link PPC campaigns don't add value to your web property and don't add value to the visitor. It's far easier to sell to people who've been recommended to the product which means a well written letter of experience will come in handy. Even landing pages are getting a tad "old hat" in the eyes of visitors now... unless you're really good with your copy. They're just my thoughts and what I've experienced works like a treat.
spend an hour in the marketplace.. if you see a niche you like then google some keywords to check competition. You just need to try everything until you get one that works, but dont go near making money, fat loss etc
Acne is a strong category. Don't make fun of it! right now there are milions of teenagers scouting the web looking for ways to make their pimples disappear!
Acne is da bomb..seriously...very good results and low CPC..high search volume but still a niche. Pick a good converting product and you will get sales.
I've always been put off by Acne products because of the demographic. "Teenagers looking for a cure for their acne". Do you think teens going through puberty are going to have the money readily available to pay for information on how to stop their acne. I've not gone into this niche but can't see a huge ROI in it... has anyone else?
Acne is a very strong niche But I'm not sure that acne products have good converting rate... maybe if those teenagers steal their parents credit card...
You can use CB-Analytics to research potential products to promote. It's much easier when you see if the product is going up or down.
