Currently i'm on 45.2Kbps Dail up...Max avalible in my area is 2 mb but costs 100,000 ruppes (1666$ appx ) if you want unlimited also without grantee of speed haha
Paying about $44 p/m for it - https://www.bethere.co.uk/ Great service too, one of my best ever providers speed aside
1 mb/s and now I'n quite satisfied coz I don't need to download something, so for net surfing it is enough
I don't very frequently, but it does come in useful for downloading or streaming video - that's about it!
100 Mbps LAN connection ( I think ).. Costs me about $14/month with AT&T . LOL, maybe that is my case too. haha How do I tell then, what is my speed?
OK I have you all beat! I am connecting at 28.8 kbps and that is the fastest speed I ever get. I am in a very rural area and dial-up is the only option. I tried to get Verizon to at least update the wires but they have not done it so we are on slow mode.
I believe Europe is at about 30 Mbps and some parts of Asia are at 100 Mbps, while the USA is at about 3.5 Mbps with a cable modem. It's a sad state of affairs here in the US.
2 MBPS and a shared internet connection that comes to my hostel with more than 20 users using the same connection downloading movies and stuff~~~ but well its good enough~
I'm really jealous of you but I must not compare my small town and city like London. I pay 25$ for 265kbps connection and you 36$ for 24mbps. Something I can expect here after 7-8 years lol
I pay for 2Meg but only get to use around 1.3meg due to the old copper piping around here in the United Kingdom. It's down to BT (British Telecom) who fail to understand that copper lines aren't able to supply us with the speeds we're able to get (i.e. 8meg all the way up to 20meg in this area). Fibre optic cables are the way to go, and we're not going anywhere. Seasons Greetings, Dave
Mine is 512 Kbps (Shared). Works quite fast at off-peak hours but during peak hours, it works the same speed as 56 kbps dialup connection.
