programmer familiar with mysql databases

I need a script that can pull the email addresses from my forums (ipb) and put them in a file. I would prefer to be able to separate them in their various groups (ie: members, subscribers, etc). This should be possible from what I have learned on how the members are stored in the database. From there I will be looking for software that can email in html and text and can import the files.

Basically I am looking to start newsletters about the topics the various forums represent and I don't like the software the forum boards use.

The lists will be large as some of the forums are large.

Just some advice, it would be better to decide what newsletter script you will use first so that the data can be pulled in format that specific script needs.

The format can easily be changed in the script. (Would take 5 seconds)
