    are you using a new blogger template or the classic one?
    They have different format

    Classic Template:
    <META NAME="Description" CONTENT="description goes here">
    <META NAME="keywords" CONTENT="Keywords goes here">

    New Blogger Template:

    <meta content='description here' name='description'/>
    <meta content='keywords here' name='keywords'/>

    just did that and I got this error message: Your template could not be parsed as it is not well-formed. Please make sure all XML elements are closed properly.
    XML error message: Open quote is expected for attribute "{1}" associated with an element type "content".

    In blogger, go to Templates/Layout, then edit HTML... Then put your meta tags in the head section with the / at the end before the > sign

    Switch to wordpress and host your own blog then start building links and content. It will take time and work but you will get there.

    I never put the meta tags to my blogspots. My blogspots regularly indexed by search engines because I added backlinks to my blogspots.
