...how would you market your website? I would like to hear from people with expierience in spending such large amounts. And what would be your best possible solution to investing in places where you could exchange these investments for good customer conversions? Thanks for all replies in advance. Looking forward to your answers.
I think the best spent money would be SEO first, a writer for a good landing page and then some PPC to that landing page.
Depends on the industry but if it were for a business website offering products/services I would: 1. On-Page changes by quality SEO professional and Niche research 2. Same SEO pro to do link building and offpage optimization 3. Collect advertising rates and campaign possibilities and analyze the best ones be it Google PPC, Individual sites, Email lists, etc. 4. Create quality content for link baiting and then market those links 5. Use the last bit of money to give away some free services and products for review, viral, experiments, etc.
You could use Smorty or similar to get some "natural" backlinks in blogs.... To be honest I havent spent that much but am trying to build up a pot of $$$ to go there.... Will share when I have something
I would spend some time searching for a high traffic keyword with average number of competitors. Set up a website with about 5-6 pages related to that keyword. Plug in some affiliate offers that are related to that keyword. Contact a professional SEO, and have them get you TOP 10 for that keyword. Within 3-6 months, you should be able to make at least $100 a day. Total Spending: $4,000
I'd invest it into my project by hiring another programmer, launching an adwords campaign - and buy blog reviews.
interest from 4000 in a bank is pocket change ...lol i'd get some banner ads on sites i know would send lots of visitors my way
invest in an interesting project, that would be my number one priority. a bit risky I agree, but ROI in case of revenues will be allot who knows, you might even finance another facebook project... as for marketing, depends what you are marketing. if you have a product that you need to sell, then go for adwords / some seo / and basic backlinking service from members here
I had pay to create original contents for 2000, and spend the rest on good directory listings and some discrete links. When I start getting revenues, I will keep adding contents and links... slowing increasing the profit to spending ratio.
Wow guys, some really smart answers there, and has given me some really important data for my research. The figure I might be investing in the near future isn't as much, but there might be a partner jumping on so I placed a realistic figure down. Anyone else like to give me their honest answers? Reputation for everyone. Thanks guys . *EDIT* - I'll have to give the rest of the reputation tommorow, I handed too much out in this thread .
I would have to say adwords is probably your best answer.. Anyone can have a great idea its just the fact of getting it out there. Look how long it takes to discover some of the greatest people in our past history.
It would be great when you have you have figured it all to post the details of where you spent your $4000 so we can all learn from it
I am going to, I am going to write case study which I will compile into an e-book which I will distribute for a little bit of cash ($5 or something to prevent reselling). And I will fill it will statistics, my findings, personal opinions, what to try and what not to try, etc. I think it would be a nice thing for me to do myself, since I haven't really bothered writing an e-book before.
