$15 Header Contest

My only objection at the moment is that the top and bottom "border" aren't the same height, but not only don't I know what height I'd like them, but given the .psd file I can fix it myself. I think I'll get some time tomorrow to experiment with yours and Nsanes to see what yours and his can do for my site and if there's anything that could/should be fixed.

 

Hey Neilparnham... i do think urs the best!! honestly... i do think urs have a professional look has well it give ideias to others to copy u lolol has well!! lolol But in my oppinion... urs here ... just rules!!

Thanks for the entry versatile. I don't think it has the same potential as Neils or Nsanes, as for general feedback I think the darker text kinda blends a little too well with the background. The smaller text is just a little too small and/or dark, it's (too) hard to read. I think the "slope" of the background should be on the other diagonal to, that would give it a "positive" slope now it's just "going downhill". But as said I don't think it'll win even with those changes, sorry.

That's the spirit, much better in my opinion. It's still in third and by quite a bit but the gap has narrowed.

I said I was going to have time to play around with my site today, now it looks like christmas preparations take precedence. Maybe later tonight but probably not until saturday or sunday

That's quite nice, but not really competing with the two leaders.

Feedback:

There's some aliasing in the "main" text.

There's something wrong with the club (it doesn't look like the handle is properly fitted), and the style of the club and the circle below it doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the design.

The crown looks nice, but in my opinion crowning of websites is a bit overdone.

The "Auctions for DP members" text looks a little bit out of place.

Having said all that, I can see how the design would fit into the site.

I've still to decide on the winner. I'm choosing between Nsanes and Neils entries. I've done a little experimenting with both but I've also been sick as has my gf and our son (just a year old) so there's not been too much time in front of the computer (hint, almost everytime I've been sitting at the computer I've posted in this thread).

I'll try to make the final descision tonight (mid-day here right now).
